Brian glanced around him. He was wearing a t-shirt and jeans, socks, tennis shoes. Regular clothing. Well, at least it was comfortable here. What else? A warm beach. Some nice waves crashing against the sand. A few beach chairs. A girl.

A girl? Brian looked back at the girl laying in a reclined position in a beach chair, a pepsi in one hand, her eyes closed in contentment. Brian walked over, sitting and reclining back in a conveniently placed beach chair next to her.

"Hi there. I'm Brian. What's your name?" He said, knocking some of the sand off his bare feet, enjoying the feeling of the sun on his now bare skin, his swim trunks slowly warming up. There was no trace of his previous clothing.

(Ceru, you can join. I like more people to join....)

Artie looked up. She scanned her surroundings. Hey, wasn't she in the Hermes Cabin? Oh well. It was Long Island Sound, mid-afternoon. She was wearing her usual attire, shorts and her camp shirt. Waves lapped up against the shore near a boy.

A boy. Artie started freaking out. It wasn't Andrew or that other boy that she met the other day. The boy asked her what her name was so she replied, "Artie Fox. What's yours?" She started calming down, but she reached for her sword.

When Daquiri woke up on a beach, she instinctively knew she was dreaming again. The tips of her fingers tingled with exhilaratoin when she realized she was once again on the shore of an island that looked familiar. However, then she realized that it was familiar for a different reason--she had been here only a few days ago.
She was on Long Island Sound.
Sighing in slight disappointment, Daquiri stood up and dusted sand off her butt. Apparently her dream subconscious had decided she was going to be wearing a strapless sundress over a haltered swim suit--which was perfectly fine with her. As long as she wasn't in her stupid Camp clothes.
Walking along the beach for a ways, she thought it was at least nice that she was alone. It was quiet, peaceful, the waves were lapping gently on the shore and there were no people to be seen anywh--
  Oh.
Daquiri immediately put up her guard when she saw the crazy Hermes girl who had started to attack her on the Sound last time, and another boy she'd never met before. Had the girl appeared in her dream here because this was where she had met her? And yet, she had never seen the blond boy before in her life. So what were they doing in her dream?

Brian glanced down the beach side as another girl walked along the water edge towards them, and heard the first girls reply.

"Artie Fox. Cool. I'm Brian." He said, grabbing his own pepsi off the arm of his beach chair, and raised it in a welcoming toast to the new girl.

"Hey there. Come join us? What's your name?"

Brian lived so often in dreams and the real world, through regular dreams, and day dreams just dropping in the middle of the day, that he just started treating it all the same. Things that changed in dreams were just natural things that he wanted, so he didn't even separate it in his own head.

Daquiri eyed the pair warily. Why was it that even in her dreams she couldn't rest from her constant façade? She knew from her entire life experiences that letting people into her life only brought disaster and sorrow, and had henceforth learned at a very young age that shutting people out was the only safe way to live. It was an exhausting existence, but it was existing nonetheless.
And despite her normal agitating personality, she rather liked existing.
So instead of giving the boy her name, she asked him her own question: "What are you doing here?"

Artie turned to the other girl. "Hey, aren't you the princess?" she said, gripping her sword. "Why do have to act so...so..." She couldn't find a word so evil or insulting. She was dumbstruck. The blonde leaned back her chair, whispering something. Her bronze sword started to glow and turned back into a bracelet. She started to drink her Pepsi, cursing.

Brian glanced down at the blonde in the chair, and back at the other girl.

"Princess? Should I bow? I've never met a princess. Where are you princess of?"

Then he thought of something else. The blonde... had a bracelet... Then it was a sword... then it was a bracelet.

"Hey, can I see that again? I've never held a sword. What do you have a sword for? How does it turn into a bracelet? What's it made out of? Is it a real sword, or a prop?"

Well, no one ever blamed him for not being inquisitive.

((Haha, I like the "child-like" inquisitiveness, Brian xD)

Daquiri raised an eyebrow at the blonde girl and crossed her arms. "Act so what? So much better than you?" There was a sneer in the red-head's voice as she addressed the Herme's girl's lack of articulation. However, then her face darkened. "Call me 'princess' again, though, and you'll wish you hadn't."
The blond guy seemed to be rather fascinated with the false information that she was a princess, and Daquiri gave an eye roll at his gazillion questions as she turned to face him. "I am not a princess, if you bow I don't give a d***, and if you even mention the word around me again, I'll cut out your tongue with my dagger. Does that cover it?" Daquiri was about fed up with all of these people. Especially since they appeared to be invading her personal dream space.

Brian's eyes bulged as the second girl turned out to be very cranky. Cut his tongue out with a dagger? Ouch.

"If your not a princess though, then why did she call you a princess?" Brian said. Then he realized he was really asking the wrong person, so he turned back to Artie.

"What, did you confuse her with someone else? Why did you call her a princess if she wasn't? What does she mean about not acting as good as her? That seems strange. Can I see that sword yet?"

Artie snickered, then handed cautiously the bracelet to Brian. "Just say something in Greek and it'll turn into a sword."

She turned back to the other girl. "You never said your name and it stuck. So what is it?" she frowned, drinking her Pepsi again. The blonde turned back to Brian.

"Don't worry, just say thief. I call her princess because it's a nickname." Artie replied.

Say something in greek... Who speaks greek?

"Uhh, yeah. I don't speak greek. Wait, who's a thief? She's a thief, or say thief to open the bracelet? What's thief in greek? How do you know greek? Are you from greece? Why did you leave? Why would the magic word for the bracelet be thief? Oh wait, do you mean she's a thief? I'm confused." Brian said breathlessly.

So he didn't say anything, and just flicked the bracelet into the sword he'd seen before.

"Hey, that's nice. What's it made out of? Who made this for you? Is it magic?"

Thats when he turned back to the "not princess but maybe thief" girl.

"You know, you never told me your name. Are you trying to keep it a secret? She doesn't even know your name? What do you have against not telling people your name? Is it a funny name? Is it a scary name? Is it just really hard to pronounce?" Brian said, his eyes tracking the tip of the sword and he waved the tip through the air awkwardly in different shapes.

"Hey! I know. Maybe if we let her borrow the sword for a bit, she'll tell us her name! Let's try it." Brian said before even checking with Artie, and tossing the sword badly in the air towards the not princess girl. Somehow though, in such an awkward toss, it landed point down in the sand right in front of the not princess girl.

"You try it, and then tell us your name, ok? Cool. So what's your name?"

"Too many questions at once! Okay, first I named that bronze sword thief and do not-" exclaimed Artie, reaching for the sword. "Crepe! So not cool!" She complained in frustration. She reached for her drink, stomping on Brian's foot.

"Never throw a sword at someone you just met. Espiscially if it not yours."

Artie growled, getting up and walking to Ri. "So..."

((Sorry I've been taking so long to respond guys, but I'd rather you bump me before going ahead and posting Artie, just because that means I have a lot more to catch up on if you post again, lol...))

This guy was seriously one of the strangest people Daquiri had ever met. And he was getting really irritating. The blond boy spouted off so many questions in such a rapid-fire fashion that Daquiri could hardly keep track of any of them. When he tossed the sword at her, she forced herself not to flinch. It stuck hilt-up in the soft sand, standing at about her hip. Raising her head back to Brian and Artie, the red-head raised an eye brow.
"You might as well be forewarned that giving me your weapon is not a good idea," she finally said, her voice even. Then she narrowed her eyes. "And if I thought you were worth my time, I would have told you my name already," she told the boy.
Daquiri wasn't surprised when the Hermes girl immediately jumped up to retrieve her weapon, but she really hadn't planned on touching it anyway. She wasn't a huge fan of swords, and she didn't think she ever would be. She did take note of the fact that the bronze weapon had morphed out of a bracelet, however. Things like that didn't usually happen on a regular basis. At this point, though, nothing really surprised Daquiri any more. Heck, even the idea of ancient Greek gods still being alive didn't sound as crazy as it had a few days ago.
And she really wanted to punch herself for feeling that way, too.
When Artie spoke to her, however, Daquiri raised an eyebrow in query.

((Well, that only took me about 5 hours to write. Heh.))

Brian looked at the sword in the sand, the two girls standing on opposite sides of it, and then back at the sword.

He really did not understand what was going on. Why wouldn't she tell him her name? And why did it seem like they were about to fight?

And fight over what anyway?

That's when the monster promptly smashed through a palm tree along the treeline, apparently determined to make damage.

(I'm back!)

Artie whipped aroud, picking up her sword. The monster was something she never read about. "I'm just having a peaceful conversation, Dad!" she shouted to the sky.

She ran towards the monster, aiming her sword at its chest. "Die!" she yelled, as she stabbed the monster. The monster growled in surprise and tried to shake Artie off.
