Carver rode the bike towards Long island sound, hoping the thing could still last on the small amount of gasoline he had left. After all with the monsters he seemed to run into rather often, it would be bad to be left without a means of transportation. It was only a few minutes before he saw what looked like a summer camp. There were no campers outside that he could see, not surprising considering it was the middle of the night, but still he had to wonder why his mother sent him to a summer camp…and in the middle of winter no less. Regardless of how unusual it seemed he decided he would need sleep anyway, not to mention fuel. So Carver drove up to what he assumed was the camp administrator’s office, which actually was just a big and slightly ugly house. He stopped his motorcycle and took his helmet off before looking around a second time. Why on earth did his mother send him here?

There were a few kids looking out from cabins, though most seemed to be looking at one particular cabin at first, as if that cabin would be the normal cause for the sound of a Harley Davidson motorcycle. It was surprising to see kids here at all really. There were also some strange bird like creatures. Which made him feel tempted to draw his spear.

Cat sighed, walking out of the Big House with her hands in her pockets. She had been practicing in the arena for a while, even though it was after curfew. While she was fortunate enough to have evaded the harpies again, she was not fortunate enough to have escaped any attention at all. She didn't know whether someone had ratted her out, or the centaur just had some freaky way of knowing, but Chiron had showed up during her night training session and taken her to the Big House for a talk, to encourage her to get her sleep and save the dummy-stabbing for daylight hours.
Perhaps he was right. But she was still bummed. After all...
She thought back to when her half-siblings had told her that they were stronger in sunlight. That rubbed her the wrong way, and it had taken her a while to figure out why.
She remembered that time, back when she had just begun training later at night, when she had encountered Daquiri in the arena. Did your daddy give you those magic shooting powers? She resented that, knowing as well as the redhead that there was no way she could've pulled off the move that she did with so little training, unless her father had intervened. She didn't want to only be good at archery because her dad was Apollo. Sure, she understood how parents passed down their traits and talents to their kids, found it rather cool, but it was different when those parents were gods.
It wasn't... it just wasn't the same thing when the genes were freaking magical.
Most of her half-siblings, it seemed, were perfectly fine with being stronger in sunlight, and subsequently weaker without it. Most of her half-siblings loved knowing they had that extra minor boost of energy. But she didn't.
So, she let her arrows fly at her weakest. She tried to figure her way around her new sword at her weakest. She ran laps around the arena at her weakest, and she did her absolute best and improved herself when she was at her weakest. And she was proud.
Though, it seemed as if she wouldn't have the privilege of doing that anymore. And she was rather disappointed at herself for not seeing this coming.

As she walked out the front door, pulling her hoodie closer around herself against the cold night air, the growling background noise got louder; it took her another moment to recognize the sound of an engine. Man, she hadn't heard that in months.
She stopped at the porch railing and looked down at the motorcycle. Huh.
The rider, illuminated by the porch lights, appeared to be a regular, blond-haired boy, but the fact that he was here meant he wasn't. He was looking down at the rest of the camp, and hadn't noticed her yet.
"Don't suppose you're lost," she called out dryly, leaning casually on the railing.

Jake awoke to the sound of motors.
Ugh.
Again
He rolled out of bed, grumbling to himself. Why didn't his cabinmates know how to work at night without waking everyone up. 'Lights Out' meant 'Shut Up.'

"How many times do I have to tell you all,"  he said sternly, rubbing sleep from his eyes. "If you're going to sneak out to work on things-- do it quietly." He looked around at his cabin, most of them awake now and some of them out in front of the cabin. He gave a sharp glance around, and noticed that most everyone was still there. He went outside and quickly found the last few cabinmates that had been unaccounted for.
A brow went up.
Huh.
Guess it wasn't them this time.

After blinking once, he shooed his cabin mates back inside. He agreed to let them know what was up, mainly to get them to shut up and go back to their beds. He and another cabin leader shouted at the last few people outside to go back to bed.
Jake shook his head to himself. It looked like he'd have to stay up a bit longer.

Jake headed up to the Big House.
To his surprise, Cat was up there, as well as a guy with a motorcycle.
"Couldn't afford a muffler?" Jake grumbled, probably still a bit annoyed from being woken up. He took a breath and properly addressed the boy.
"Hey."

(and that's close enough to a decent post.)

“Depends, is this Camp Half Blood?” He looked at the girl who had come out of the strange house. He gave a light smile, deciding it would be better confirm that he was in the right place. Then an older looking boy maybe about sixteen or seventeen walked up from the cabins area. Carver gave a small laugh at the joke the boy made. ‘Well parts ain’t cheap. Sorry for the ruckus.” He hadn’t realized that his bike would probably wake up the entire place, he noticed some people still coming out of the same cabin the older boy had approached from, despite the fact they were probably told not to. If he had to guess, this older looking boy was probably some kind of authority figure over them. Well they didn’t seem very obedient if that was the case.

(Ugh it feels short, but i got what i had to say on there i think, and we have some disobedient Hephaestus Cabin kids...yay.)

She nodded once at the boy's question, noting his accent as she returned the smile.
They both turned to see Jake Arin coming up to the Big House, looking slightly disgruntled. Cat had to admit she was more amused than sympathetic that the new kid's motorcycle had woken up campers. She stifled a yawn at the thought of sleep (or, rather, the lack of sleep). Okay, Chiron was right, she needed her rest.
When the senior counselor of the Hephaestus cabin glanced at her, she nodded in greeting, and watched as the two boys exchanged a few words.
She wondered if she should ask the boy if he knew anything else about this place besides its name, if he knew he was a demigod. However, Jake was a senior counselor; it would make more sense for him to handle the situation. So she settled for observing quietly, which she rather liked doing, actually. She straightened up, sucking in a deep breath of cool air as she tapped the railing lightly with her fingers.
