Plot Project Work (Syl and Estelle please, but open.)

(I know Estelle's MIA right now, but if you get on, try to post here. Syl, I'd like you to post here too, being a Hephaestus kid.)

Jake was in the forge, going over the plans he had made with Estelle for the next big project.

A surveillance relay throughout the states, that would report back to them on any monster activity in the area. Any suspicious half-blood movement will also be recorded for analysis back here at camp. The project would require several beacons, with both major and minor hubs.

Spread across the table were some of his sketches for the project, the requirements and suggestions from the Athena kids, and a map with the hub locations and distances between drawn over it in Sharpie.

Though right now, he was trying to think of what to call it.
"Security Network... SecNet? The bronze net? The bronze web? Webnet?" He muttered to himself. He made circles on the table with the butt of his pen and frowned at the paper. An acronym could work...

Half Blood Security Network
Half Blood Alliance Security Network. Almost BAS Net
Demigod Alliance Security. DAlli Sec.

Don't give me that look. The name's part of the project. It counts as working.

Axel walked into the forge. originally to sharpen his dagger. which unlike his sword didnt have any magic that allowed it to stay in good condition. but when he saw the huge map with i kind of web drawn on it he was curious. he walked over to a guy in a green jacket. he had blond hair. and had the look of somebody who worked in the forge alot. "what is all this about"

Lily walked into the Armory, an obviously annoyed Apollo kid on her tail.
At first, her ankle trouble had almost been welcome, letting her to cuddle and stay in bed with the blanket over her head. But now, well this was annoying. Didn't help that she'd always forget her pills for the swelling either. Obviously it hadn't healed properly, as it would annoy her for days and have her end up in a brace. But hey, here she was, hair pulled in a messy ponytail with her un-straightened curls everywhere and, well,no makeup or anything. Usually she did plaster on a tinted lip balm, but was it really nessesary?
“Lily, please. You need to let it heal,” the boy protested.
“God no, I am totally sick of lying in bed with nothing whatsoever to do,”
Lily grimaced, a face between annoyance and thinly veiled pain.
“Dude, I'll be fine. Know what, if I hurt it again or something then you can stick me in a padded cell. Deal?” she asked, and the kid muttered something about dragging her back to the infirmary and restraining her to a bed. But eventually, she was allowed to be alone, braceless and ungroomed, into the armory.
“What's going on here?” she said as she walked(limped, stumbled, whatever) over to Jake.

Jake looked over his shoulder at the two new people who had entered while he was thinking. One new person he didn't recognize and Lily, who he did recognize.
"New project, as another line of defense against attacks." Jake replied, mostly directing the answer at Lily. "Surveillance mainly, but to be forewarned is to be forearmed or whatever." He put down the pen and spread the papers out so they could be seen more easily. Most of the pages had notes scribbled all over them from several different hands, between the Athena kids and Hephaestus kids that had gone over the ideas and had thier own suggestions and critiques. There was one or two prototype designs that were relatively clean... for now, at least.

Lily smiled at Jake and the plans slread out in front of her. Obviously filled with all sorts of ideas and things, it'd probably become real in Jake's hands. Her blue eyes scanned over the paper quickly, taking in the writing. It was mostly jumbled, but some were easy to make out, like Estelle's orderly handwriting in plain black ink. That and also Jake's scrawl. She looked upatfrom the sheets of paper.
“Surveilence on who?” she inquired. To be exact, Estelle had probably mentioned it at some point. But sometimes Lily would just float away into the bubbles and not hear a thing. That was one of the reasons why Lily would never manage in a school.

Axel stared at the diagrams, notes, and charts. most of it was gibberish. except for the maps. maybe it was because his father was the god of travel but Axel was always able to understand and read maps. the map was a map of the entire US, with marked places for the devices. and lines connecting the markers. "well whoever your spying on.your going to need to setup these things all over the US i see...alot of these are cities too." Axel didnt understand any of the technical parts of this strange project. but what he did understand was that somebody would have to setup these things in the field. alot would have to be in cities, which meant that somebody would have to get them on buildings. even if the things ended up being small and portable. somebody would most likely find one if it was left on the street level of a city.

Jake gave a bit of a nod to the other guy, indicating he was correct.

"Monster activity mainly, and if we can, half-blood activity." He answered, "Though the last part's a bit more of a trick and we're debating theory and... nevermind." Jake said, waving it off with a motion of his hand.

"We're going to use this to track the movements of monsters, and with that, the Titan Army's movements." He said, tapping the table. "We'll know where they're making trouble and oust it before it becomes a real problem. No more being blindsided."

“Good,” Lily nodded at the plans. “Now I won't have to end up buying all my clothes and things all over again,” she'd lost alnost everything from the titan army once, cabin, belongings, everything. They'd been forced to rebuild everything after they came and burnt down the camp. Of all the things she lost, she missed Maryelle, her china doll the most. She'd never been able to find the same doll ever again, and settled for a less pretty one.

“So how are you going to set them all up?” she asked again, trying to not think of the things she'd lost. There was a huge list now.

“Anyway, I'll try to be of as much help as I can offer,” like she could do anything properly.

"i never got your names either...im Axel son of Hermes." Axel saw as an athena kid started jotting down notes on some paart of the project Axel probably would never be able to understand. Another Athena kid looked at the notes and started arguing with the other.

Jake gave another nod at Lily's comment. He understood where she was coming from. Even if he didn't live at camp. Though he was glad to move on to talking more about the project. He's a guy. He doesn't like talking about feelings.

"We were thinking just send out some parties to set them up. I could take Agamemnon and set up the major ones going westward on my own. The others could have a proper questing party with a mechanic." Jake told her, picking up the pen again and tapping his hand as he looked back at the map.

He heard an introduction in the middle of it, so he replied, "Jake." It was rather absently, since he was thinking.

"We probably could use some help with escorting a mechanic to set up the devices. The main beacons are the most important, we might be able to automate minor set ups." He scratched his chin with the butt of the pen. "Theoretically. Or we can just set them up another time as a side stop for someone's normal routine."

((Guys, Estelle's been gone for the past week or so from the Internet because she was staying at a hotel that had bad connection, and she's back now but she's not sure how much she'll be able to get on cuz of her mom. I tried calling her yesterday, but her mom didn't pick up.))

“Maybe we could have people set it up on their way back to their schools,” Lily said. “You know, if they traveled by car, at the end of the summer,”When, presumably, she'd be dragged along to the stupid school her mom had found. Lovely. She'd probably refuse to leave though. She or the world, wasn't ready for that kind of thing.
“ 'm Lily. Younger and youngest daughter of Poseidon so far,” she said with a amusement.
Looking at the new demigod she actually had failed to notice before.
She whipped out her blue pen, something that would definately stick out in all the black, ready to jot down a few things on the paper.

Jake considered that for a moment then nodded.
"I suppose that could work, for the minor ones at least, though my school's just in Jersey." He said, shrugging. He leaned forward to the map and indicated the beacons across the northern US that were in a section with the corners at New York and Washington. "I was planning on setting up these major hubs myself over winter break." He traced the planned path; Camp, Chicago, Minnesota/Canada border, Yellowstone, Seattle. Well, that was the general area. Finding an appropriate spot might take a bit of looking. "I'll have more time then."

Welll... late.

Jake had called her in to plan the security stuff incase of the Titan Army, and she'd agreed to help almost absentmindedly during dinner.
To be honest, it was almost awkward recognising him as her half-brother, almost as if someone had picked a person off the street. But it wasn't random, she knew... it might take a little time to get used to.

Sighing, she entered the room to find Lily and Axel.

'why not just have people handle those hubs. i mean i have nothing but time. I was going to stay here year round. i could probably help with the setup." Axel was excited by this idea, because he was going stir crazy. This camp was a good place to call home but Axel was getting bored. he needed action, even if it was just setting up this security thing. he heard footsteps from behind him and glanced back to see Syl enter the room. of course that wasnt unusual, she was a child of Hephaestus after all. Axel supposed she was probably here to work on this project.
