Nice Day for a Swim (Lockewolf)

Charlie was irritated.
She had been looking for Tony all day and he wasn't anywhere she could find. she had thought of a wonderful new idea to make money off campers too.
The only problem was that she needed him for it to work, but the idiot wasn't there. Times like this made her wish demigods could have cellphones, at least then she'd have been able to just call him. Now it was too late in the day for her plan to work and she'd need to wait until later to put it into action.
Stupid Jerk.
She finally managed to spot him on the docks at the lake, and not looking in her direction. The blonde had a mischievous idea, and decided a bit of payback wouldn't hurt. Besides...Tony needed a bath anyways.
So instead of calling out to him, Charlie opted to sneak up behind him, and then shoved him into the freezing water below.

Tony gave a startled yelp as he was suddenly shoved into the lake.
He broke the surface with an indignant sputter, and wiped the water out of his face.
Tony gave the person on the docks an annoyed look.
"Why." He said, throwing his arms up then letting them fall back down with a splash. He easily reached up and grabbed the dock and pulled himself up back out of the water.

Charlie gave Tony's indignation a smirk before giving him her reply.
"Why not?" She replied, givving her trademark smirk.
She waited for the boy to climb out before continuing.
"now that you're done with your bath we have things to-" Charlie was cutoff when she suddenly found herself flying through the air and into the waters herself.
Stupid Jerk.

Tony sat up on the dock, looking rather happy with himself. And the world was brought back into balance, justice served, etc etc.
"You know, it's pretty great having a midget friend," he commented. He had already hit his growth spurts, putting him around six foot, while his friend didn't look like she had grown much since elementary school.
That made it much easier to throw her in the lake.

Charlie knew she had kind of deserved being tossed in the lake, though she would never admit to it, nope better to bury that under a large amount of denial.
The water was about as cold as expected, and she could have sworn she felt something brush against her leg..
Overall though Charlie didn't have much trouble climbing out of the lake, though she wished she had a change of clothes available, but she was fine otherwise.
Charlie did glare at her friend when he brought up her lack of height though, since that had always been a sore subject for her.
"Shut up, Roger."

Tony's grin quickly dropped to a scowl as Charlie called him 'Roger'. Sure, it was his first name, but he really hated that name.
Charlie knew that very well.
He made an annoyed sound.
"So," he continued, forcing past it. "What exactly did you want?"

Charlie feigned innocence when Tony sent a scowl her way. She knew he hated his first name, and he knew she knew it.
Of course now they were both annoyed with each other.
Though Charlie was happy that she'd once again successfully pushed the taller boy's buttons. She hadn't thought much of it when she discovered the name, but after learning just how much it annoyed her friend she'd abused that fact whenever necessary.
The blonde returned her attention to the important things now, since they'd gone through the almost routine of verbal exchange of blows. Money!
Really that had always been something Charlie held as important, it was just how she'd been raised by her father.Then when she discovered the whole demigod thing new avenues opened up as well. The idea of treasures, as well as the introduction of a new monetary system with Drachmas. It all had excited the blonde extremely, though she didn't like the idea of monsters wanting to kill and/or eat her.
"If you must know we were supposed to go get that the money that Ares kid owes me, and you know how they are." She had to suppress a grimace remembering the last time she'd tried to get money back from an Ares kid alone. It wasn't pretty.
"And then I thought up an amazing idea and have to waste all day looking for you. Idiot."

"Well, since it took all day to find me, I'd say I did a good job," Tony said wryly. He purposefully hid in random places around camp to avoid doing work and camp activities he didn't want to do. So if it took someone who knew him a long time to find him, then someone who didn't know him well wouldn't be able to at all!
"Now what is your amazing idea?"

(It was Winter here right? I remember people mentioning the IC time of year being winter.)
"Well since my cabin mates weren't planning to go swimming today." Charlie remarked dryly.
It was true that she'd caught him spying on her sisters, especially when the cabin decided to take a trip to the lake. It was pretty much how the two of them had met in the first place.
Charlie broke off from muttering about "stupid perverts" to refocus her mind on more relevant things.
"Well since the Holidays are coming up, I was thinking about throwing a Christmas party, and with an entrance fee of course." Charlie knew that it wouldn't have been too difficult, since she knew the hermes cabin could easily supply drinks and with the magic messhall food wouldn't be an issue. But there were still other arrangements that would need to be made.
"I figured something needs to lighten the mood around camp, and more importantly we can make plenty of money."

Tony looked up thoughtfully and nodded. "Fun and money-- sounds good to me."
He shrugged and grinned, "we can make an epic party."
