Let's Try Not to Blow Up the New School

It was the first day of classes and the new students were all scrambling around to find their first class of the day.

"Ugh, I am gonna die at this place. For such an expensive school, it is soo boring." Kris walked the halls, staring at a piece of paper with her schedule. "At least my 5th period will be a walk in the park." (it's ancient greek) She looked down at her schedule again and then up at a door that said "Art and Craft of the Short story". "I guess this is one of those senior seminar things they were talking about. Great...." Kris went to push the door open but the door opened just before she did. She came face to face with some guy taller than herself. She looked up at him and murmured a hello. He quickly moved from the door to let her in.

"Hey, I have never seen you here before. Are you new this year?"

Kris just nodded at him.

"Weird to transfer senior year but whatever, I don't pry into people's lives. But anywho, as senior class president, I would like to Welcome you to The Masters School."

"Thank you." With that, Kris walked into the lecture hall and took a seat towards the back of the classroom, totally ready for a nap.

Wes walked around a bit aimlessly on campus, trying to make sence of her schedule. All she could see was that every day seemed to be mixed up, and it rotated through two different weeks. That was ten schedules she had to memorize, and then keep track of which days followed what schedules. Why do the rich have to make everything so complicated? she thought.

Jake had only a little trouble finding his first class and he ploped down in the back row. As the introduction lecture started, Jake started fiddling with parts as quietly as he could. Who needs an English class anyway? He could speak English just fine! He grew up with it. And the Ancient Greek... ugh, how did the girls manage to convince him to take it! He hated easy and/or pointless classes. Greek was written into his freakin' DN... wait... did god's have DNA? If they didn't, how did their traits get passed on? Could grandchildren get their parent's abillity?
Jake kept thinking on this, and needless to say- no English got done....

AAAAAAANNNNNDDDD Time skip. Lunch time.

Kris was escorted to the dining hall by senior class president [insert guys name], whom she befriended during first block, or whatever you want to call it. But whatever, Kris walked into the dining hall and said goodbye to her new friend. She stood around waiting for Jake and Wes before she went to get some food. "Ugh where are they!!!!"

Jake held the little automation he made in his hand, trying to make final adjustments. He somehow carefully managed to avoid most everyone while balancing a one-wheeled seven inch figure in one hand and carefully using a metal prod in the other. The automation whirred a couple times, trying to keep itself balanced. Then Jake's streek ran out when he got to the cafiteria doors.
The automation gave a small squeal as they it the door. Jake dropped the metal prod in suprise and quickly adjusted to keep his creation from falling to the ground and smashing to itty bitty demoralizing pieces. He put the automation in his jacket sheepishly. The door had made a louder bang than he liked and people were snickering.

Wes walked into the cafeteria oblivilously, listening to Spirals of Light playing in her head, which had been there ever since she got bored with her first class and doodled random notes that were layed out in the rhythem. In her detatchment, she managed to walk right into Jake's back.

Watching as Jake walked into the dining hall, Kris couldn't help but laugh. "Jake.... walking into doors is my job." She just laughed even more when Wes walked right into him. "Why is everyone walking into things today? That's supposed to be my thing." After her laughing fit was over, Kris rubbed her tummy. "Come let's go get some food, I am starving." She started off for the line of apparently gourmet food.

Jake fixed his jacket self-conciously and went to the shortest line, grabbed some pizza and a drink then sat down. He took out his automation and put it on the table, finally finishing that final adjustment.

Wes grabbed a plate of some rich people food she didn't know the name of, or what the heck it was at all for that matter. She purchaced it along with some fruit drink, wondering why they had no Dew with all the money the school had. She sat down, noticing without suprise Jake's new toy sitting on the table. "So what's this one do?" she asked, gesturing to it.

"it..." Jake thought about it. He hadn't really payed attention to what he had made. "actually, I don't think it does much." he said honestly. The automation wheeled back and forth, looking at Wes and Kris with interest. It gave a couple cheery beeps.

"But it is kinda cute" Kris said while stuffing her face with a mouthful of macaroni and cheese. "Hey this food is actually kinda good. It's better than public schools lunch..." She totally changed the subject without even noticing it. She continued to feed her face with mac and cheese and.... imma go with a chicken sandwhich.... (interesting combination Kris....)(Shut up, you eat weird food too...) (Yeah but at least I don't talk to myself!) (You are doing that now.....) (Curse you..... I should stop before everyone thinks I am really crazy.....)

"Huh?" Jake asked, taking his mind off of his automation. "Oh yah, food." He took a big bite out of his pizza and started messing with his automation again. "Yah. Good." Jake said absently, trying to get his automation to stay still while he opened the casing that protected the gears and cams and such.

Wes stabbed a fork into something on her plate and popped it into her mouth. She made a face as she chewed it and downed it, taking a swig of juice with it, "Well what lines did you guys go into? This stuff tastes weird."

"That's 'cause it's a snail." Jake replied without missing a beat. His automation whistled in agreement. Jake put a hand on it to keep it still and sipped his drink, cooly.

"Hey! Snails are yummy...." Kris went back to eating her sandwich.

Wes blinked twice and looked down at the plate, noticing suddenly the resemblance it had to the strange creature. She swallowed sickly and narrowed her eyes at Jake, "Ok, you couldn't have told me this, like, ten seconds earlier? I thought surely you'd be the first of us to land in the infirmary, but now I may not last through our Greek class. Thanks."

"Well you didn't *ask* about it ten seconds earlier." Jake said smartly, leaning back, finally satisfied with his adjustments. "Relax, if they were poisonous then they wouldn't be at a school." Jake added, missing the fact that Wes probably meant she was going to be sick simply because it was gross- not because of any real problem with it.

"It won't make you sick... Next time try getting something you know what it is, like me." Kris took another bite of her sandwich, smiling. She looked over at the window, half expecting to see some monster outside. With their luck it would be true, but to her luck, there was none. With a grateful sigh, she turned back to We and Jake. "So speaking of Greek class, ready to totally own?"

"εννοείς να βαριούνται από το μυαλό μου?<You mean be bored out of my mind?>" Jake retorted, still wondering how he was convinced to take the dumb class. He watched as his automation drove cirles around his trey on the table.
He grabbed his pizza and noticed it had gotten cold while he was working on the automation. He glanced around quickly then heated it up with a bit of fire, being careful not to make too much- if any- smoke.

"Nothing was left that was familiar," Wes answered sheepishly, "And I am totally ready. Do you think I might get in trouble pointing out every mistake the teacher makes? I've always wanted to tell a teacher to conjugate the verb."

"Highly doubt that you would get in trouble. But the teach might be all like 'if you know so much about Ancient Greek why are in this class?' And then he or she will ask about how we know so much and then we have to make up an excuse, which I don't wanna do. So I suggest we just don't correct the teacher just yet..." Kris finished off her sandwich and wiped her mouth. "Let's just hurry up so we can get good seats at those weird oval tables that they have to replace desks."

"Not the front." Jake said immediatly. He knew Kris's strange way of going about school, and he really did not like sitting up front. Most teachers didn't like it when you didn't pay attention, made random things, but somehow managed to pass the class. In the back, not paying attention was expected and ignored.

"Fine whatever, Let's just get going. I don't want to be late to the one class I know I will pass." Kris stood up and threw away her trash and started heading for the door without her friends.

Okay so, the three demi-gods found their way to the Ancient Greek classroom, and managed to find seats in the back. The room was covered in Ancient Greek sayings. Most of the kids were staring at the signs wondering what they said. Kris had the slight temptation to pull one of the books out of her bag that was written in Ancient Greek, just to mess with their minds. But she thought against it and just settled for reading the signs with the other students. She was bored already, and class hadn't even started. Bored with reading, Kris just put her head down on her desk and fell asleep, hoping one of her friends would wake her up when class started.

Wes sat down and tried to not look at the signs as soon as she saw the first one. She had a feeling that half were probably the basics of greek, but she did look at some. She tried not to roll her eyes at the others' confused faces.
