Seeing which pegasus fits into the bridle, saddle and reigns I just made

Lexi took out the leather horse stuff that she had made while sitting on her bed, bored. She tried them on each pegasus until she found one that fitted into her bridle, saddle etc. They all seemed too big, until she came across a medium sized pegasus who looked like he had never been taken out of the stable. She noticed that this little guy didn't have a name, so she gave him one.
His sleek dark hair (horses have hair, right?) reminded her of a horse she had read about in a novel years ago.. what was it? oh yeah. Black Beauty.
She decided to name him something that sounded good, yet totally irrelevant. άσσος. (Ace)
(greek version prounced Assos)
She stroked his fur, and left him with his bridle, reigns and saddle hooked up on a peg next to his stable. Back to the forges, Lexi told herself not to get distracted this time.

THE NEXT DAY!
Lexi returned to see Ace, feeding him a few sugar cubes, and saddled him up. She sorta half jumped up get up to the saddle, getting stuck (one leg over, one dangling off the side of the pegasus) for a split second.
When she finally managed to sit on his back, she asked him, "look, I know you can't understand me, and that's cool. But so many weird and wonderful things happen here, that i'm gonna give it a try. So can you take me as far north as the forest, but don't land. I just wanna see what's over there."
After a few seconds of Ace doing nothing but nuzzling her hand, she decided that pegasi could not understand human beings. So she did something (dunno what) that convinced him to start flying, and they set off.
As soon as they were airborn, however, Ace turned around, so that he could fly north, completely of his own accord. "Okay. Maybe you could understand me... Is that normal?"
The pegasus neighed then fell silent. "ok, so you can understand me. Why can't i get what you're sying then?"
