Bright Idea (Destiny)

Destiny couldn't help but laugh and spun to slice the other cyclops she was charged with. She stuck her hand out and pulled a shadow outwards from inside it's body. The body itself exploded into dust and blew away with the slight breeze.
She turned to Dominic, seeing him shoot a cyclops through the chest.

Dominic hadn't expected the fight to be so easy. The Cyclops fell with barely any effort. Dominic almost felt bad.
'Any last words before I send you to tartarus?' Dominic asked the Cyclops that tumbeld back as Dominic shot it in the shoulder with another bolt.
'He's coming half blood.' The cyclops spoke, staring at Dominic with its big red eye, 'He has our scent. We will lead him to you.'
'Thats nice, but you're kind of dead. How are you going to manage that?' Dominic asked before propping up his crossbow.
'Death is also revenge Son of Apollo. And we will have ours.' The cyclops spoke before lunging forwards.
It fell to pieces as it flew forwards, coverign Dominic in a sheet of gold dust.
'Gross. Gross. Gross. Gross' Dominic groaned.

Destiny laughed, "You're sparkling! Like Edward Cullen... Anyways, what was he talking about? What's coming?" She was very curious now.
Wiping a cloth along her scythe, she removed all the dust from it before turning back into her necklace and clipping it back on her neck. She smiled at the boy, realized she was smiling, and blushed.

'I don't know. Sounds like some other annoying enemy I've got to worry about.' Dominic sighed before smiling back at Destint, 'Nothing to worry about. I'll just shoot him in the face until he falls. And if that doesn't work, I'll run crying to you.' He said with a chuckle before dusting himself off.

Destiny laughed, "Oh yes, seems like a plan, Mr. Man! Run to the girl whom you've saved more often then not!" She couldn't help but laugh. Inside, however, she was worried. The cyclops seemed serious and very sure that whatever it was that was after Dominic could harm him. She sighed and thought about what she could do to help.

'I know that look,' Dominic said with a smile, 'Don't worry. I'm a demigod of the loudest, brightest most arrogant god that ever existed. There's nothing I can't handle.' Dominic said with a grin before flicking a new golden Dracma into the air.
'Come on. Lets go try and make that call again.' Dominic said before walking towards the water fall.

Destiny laughed, "Alright, alright! Fine! Whatever you say! Just.. watch out, okay? Don't get hurt or do anything stupid!" She followed Dominic to the waterfall, now worried about what in the world Dionysus and Chiron have to say about it. Every worry wiped from her mind when she thought about the punishment they were sure to receive.

Dominic flicked the coin into the waterfall before softly whispering the chant.
'Oh Iris, accept my offering...' Dominic began and prepared for the worst....


'Our rides here.' Dominic said as he sat up from his beach chair. The two of them had spent the time devouring every morsel of junk food that remained in the cooler.
Three days worth of junk food and ambrosia had vanished in a matter of hours.
Two pegasi landed on the sand before them. They looked slightly grossed out by the sight of drinks cans and litter covering the sandy beach.

Destiny took in a deep breath and muttered to herself, "Come on, Destiny. You used to live taking care of horses. It can't be any different or worse than that! You know you'll be safe! They're just flying you back to camp!"
It wasn't the same though. Destiny hated being where she wasn't connected to her shadow. Being up in the air was one way to disconnect them. It left her feeling uneasy and a little queasy. She stood up and took in another deep breath.

'Come on.' Dominic said softly and lay a hand on her shoulder, 'Don't worry. It'll be fine.' He said with a soft smile before walking towards the winged horse.
'Hello feathers, how are you?' Dominic asked before backing up a bit as the horse stamped its hoves, 'Ah...everyones mad at us aren't they?'
The pegasi nodded causing Dominic to let out an agrevated sigh.

Destiny couldn't help but laugh.
"It seems as if our punishment will be worse than we initially thought, Moss!" She grinned at the Son of Apollo.
She smiled at the horse and said, "Blame water snakes, not us!" She stared at the saddle and took a deep breath again.

Dominic walked over to the flying horse and hoisted himself onto its back.
An odd shiver ran down his spine as he held onto the horse. He felt like something was watching him.
He turned his head to the ocean and searched its surface. He didbn't know why, but it felt like the ocean was glaring at him.

Destiny climbed on behind him. A bit nervous, she was too scared to even think about anything else.
Looking down at her shadow, she said, "I'll be back on the ground before you know it." It seemed to nod and slide inside of her body. She was comforted a bit, until she noticed Dominic look around.
"Is everything okay?" She was nervous now.

Dominic snapped out of his trance as Destiny climbed on behind him. It only occured to him now that she had decided to join him rather than take her own pegasus and for the rest of the journey she would probably have to hang on to him.
Not that he minded, although he did want to blush.
'Its nothing. Just imagining things.' Dominic said before pointing to the sky, 'Take us home flying horse guy!' Dominic called before the horse took to the air.

Destiny swallowed her breath and her scream as they took off. Her eyes squeezed tightly shut, and she refused to do any looking. She could hardly breathe.
"Dominic Moss, of all the things I've been through with you, this is by far the worse!" She almost yelled. Her eyes had opened and she felt like fainting at the height. Her arms tightened around him.

'I got us stuck in the middle of an ocean filled with sea monsters on a small little rowing boat with no food or water and this is worse?' Dominic called back before letting out a yelp as the horse dived down.
'Bad flying horse!' Dominic called out as they twirled in the air.

Destiny couldn't scream. Her scream had dropped to her stomach instead of out her mouth.
When they leveled out again, she yelled, "Why yes, yes this is worse!"
She could almost picture her body floating on the waves. What a pretty corpse she made.

The horse let out a neigh that sounded a little like a laugh as it twirled in the air.
'Knock it off' Dominic said to the pegasus and bonked it on the head with his fist. The flying horse ceased twirling and straightened up.
'Only a little longer to go Destiny, just hang on.' Dominic called back to her.

The rest of the journey went by without any further aerial acrobatics. The pegasus landed by the stables to let Dominic and Destiny off.
'Time to face the music.' Dominic sighed before sliding off the horse and offering his hand to Destiny, 'Madam'
