Peace and Ouiet

"Um I don't really care whatever is good."Alexis said then glanced over at him.

Andrew shrugged his shoulders and said "I think I'd like to stay in New York for a little while and maybe go up some other time would that work?" Andrew really didn't really mind not going over b he hoped he could still go up to visit his grandpa well his step grandpa.

" Yeah that'll work."Alexis said and nodded a little. Alexis looked over at him. She laid down on the sand glancing at him,"What do you want to do for the rest of the day,just relax?"

Andrew answered "Yeah a day of doing nothing sounds like something I haven't done in a while." Ge couldn't remember the last time hed relaxed. He then laid down right next to her and asked "So haven't did you have any pets?"

Alexis looked over at him,"I have a pet owl. My mom gave her to me for my twelfth birthday,"Alexis said softly. She looked over at him," Her names Adelpha." Added Alexis," You'll see her,she flies around camp a lot."Alexis said softly.

Andrew nodded and thought why an owl? but he new better than to ask since theres probably something to do with it like her moms symbol. He then asked "So does her name mean anything in Greek?" Probably wisdom or something like that was his guess.

Alexis looked at him,"Yeah her name means wisdom obviously. Mine means protector of mankind."Alexis said softly. She slowly sat up getting some of the sand out of her hair.

Andrew held his hands up in apology and said "Sory sorry just wondering I didn't know if you named her something special like the judge or something." He didn't really know Greek names word for word buthe could read it like most demigods but he didn't know it when he heard it.

" You have nothing to apologize for." Alexis said looking over at him."My mother is symbolized also of liberty,meaning like the statue of liberty and justice."Alexis added. Alexis smiled a little and looked over at him the simple smile showed no teeth but it was a soft smile with a hint of wanting to see her mother." You're name I think means warrior in Greek"

Andrew didn't know about the liberty thing so he asked out of curiousity "So was the statue of liberty made in your moms image or something?" When she heard her say what his name meant he looked at her quizzically and said "Really? I didn't know that hmm." He then thought about how cool that was.

"Yeah it symbolizes my mom."Alexis said softly then looked over at him,"Yep my middle name means wisdom and my other name means just like Athena." Alexis added and smiled a little.

Andrew nodded and said "Well that's cool I wonder if your mom chose any of your names." He also wondered if that ment anything about his name and what he's meant to do."

Alexis shrugged,"I'd like to know that too."Alexis said then looked over at the book. She sighed."I remember her smile and her grey eyes,nothing else."

Andrew nodded remembering her face an her eyes but he remembered her voice the most distinctively and said "I remember her face and everything but a remember her singing to me everyday I don't even remember the song just her voice."

Alexis nodded,"I've heard my moms voice but only when in a situation. She has a British accent."Alexis said softly.

Andrew smiled and asked "A British accent really? That seems a little out of their, I thought they lived in America?" Andrew paused for a moment and tried to pick out an accent of his mom but decided "Hers is kind of like a Brooklyn accent with some words but not all and for some reason im imagining her voice changing sometimes to soothe me to try to make me go to sleep." It seemed kind of unrealistic but they are gods so they could probably change anything.

"Hm... My mother' accent changes also,usually from Austrailian to British then when she gets mad at me she cursed in Greek but all gods and goddesses are moody."Alexis commented. "Want to go for a canoe ride?"Alexis asked curiously. It felt like a good day to go on one.

Andrew laughed and stayed silent until sheaske if he wanted to go canoeing. He then thought for a moment and said "Yeah it seems like a good day to go canoeing." He then got up and held out his hand to her to help her up.

Alexis smiled and took his hand lightly with hers getting up with his help before wiping some of the sand off.

"So we're off to the lake which way?" Andrew got kind of embarrassed that he still didn't know where w everything was but he let her lead the way.

Alexis smiled a little before holding his hand and leading the way to canoe lake.
