Brief History: Fei was born and raised in a small town outside of New York City, no more than about 30 miles from the main city itself. His family immigrated to America no more than 18 years ago when his parents decided it was best to live there away from the homeland. Like most demigods, he was born of a short fling of passion between his father and the goddess Nyx. The two had fallen in love during a business trip his father made to the states. It had been a routine trip, that resulted in Hoshi's life changing forever. After a couple years living in the states, he fell in love and married Tsuka, another immigrant from Japan. She loved Fei as if he were her own, but could never understand why Hoshi avoided the details of his parentage. He had simply appeared in a black cradle from the shadows of his small apartment, along with a simple message from his mother telling him to raise him to be strong. Hoshi of course did his best to raise Fei to be as much a warrior as a good citizen.

Fei grew quickly in both body and mind, fortunate that his father made a living as a sensei in a dojo in the city. Because of this, he was taught how to defend himself from a very young age, and as such, proved quite resourceful. The truth in his mind was that the woman he had fallen for was in fact a kami, a shinto belief that spirits reside in everything. He believed her to be one of these spirits, and that their son a test of his faith and character. As such, he raised him to the best of his abilities. When Fei was in school, he never seemed to be able to concentrate on the work. The intellect was there, but it just didn't seem to be able to come out correctly. But there was another problem as well. He always seemed to cling to a code of honor, as his father did, but it always seemed so contorted and complex that no one could grasp it. He would become angry at school and often wound up in trouble. He could never keep himself in proper line, and often wound up in fights.

As he was in the sixth grade, it only seemed to get worse. This was when his first conflicts with monsters began. When he told his father that he had been attacked by a small creature outside of his school as he was walking home, his father began to panic. However, he was fortunate when a classmate of Fei's arrived at their home the next day, asking permission to take him to a place where he would be safe, and could be prepared for this sort of thing in the future. Begrudgingly, he agreed to let them go. Fei, of course, was thrilled to go to a new place and continue to learn his craft. Not to mention that he would finally be able to understand where he came from and who and what he truly was. His first year went well, there didn't seem to be many conflicts at all. However, many found him to be dark and brooding.

Physical Appearance: Fei is of short stature, standing at only 5'4" tall. He is however remarkably well built and toned for his age. His life of constant training has given him a defined muscle structure. While not bulky, his strength is apparent. He has short midnight black hair, and slightly tanned skin that seems to grow darker in darkness rather than sunlight. His eyes are also as black as the void at night, which causes discomfort among many of his peers. During the day, however, his eyes are simply a very dark brown in color. His face has rather soft features and high cheekbones. To those who can't see his bare torso, one would likely think he is scrawny and skinny. He walks tall and proud, in fact, he doesn't often use improper posture at all. He is often seen with a far off look on his face as if he is lost in thought, but smiles often when he is speaking to people.

Personality: Fei is a complex personality to say the least. He is bound by a complex code of honor that he has fine tuned over the years of his life, beginning at the age of 6. He is highly intolerant of stupidity and disrespect above all else, although he is not above acting silly at times. He has a great respect for women, and is chivalrous by nature. This does not mean he won't fight a woman, simply that he won't underestimate them. He is also strict about killing, and will only resort to it if he has no other option. He greatly enjoys friendships and conversation with friends, and has on many occasion simply talked to people for hours on end. He is typically happy, and doesn't anger often, but when he is angry, he tends to erupt. The expression "when it rains, it pours" is a fitting descriptor.

Fatal Flaw: Wrath. When it comes to being vengeful, there are few who can compare with Fei. He despises anyone who shows him or anyone he cares for a great disrespect or threatens their life, to the point that he would often be willing to cause them great physical or psychological pain. He holds strong grudges, and lets his anger get the best of him at times. The most prominent of this is his inability to hold himself back or stop at times in combat. Some foes he may not have to kill may wind up dead simply because they angered him too much. Because of this, his powers sometimes get out of control. He works hard to concquer this problem, and attempts to remain calm at all times. It is however, a fruitless effort, as his anger can never be fully contained.
