Relaxing (OPEN)

Artie laid down on the beach of L.I.S, looking up at the sky. It was a good time to relax, right before lunch and after archery. She was already exhausted, but, hey, being a demigod is hard enough.

Andrew had decided on taking a slight detour on his afternoon jog today. He wanted to hear the ocean for some reason and he wanted to swim after he got done. He looked to the right as the wind hit some dead leaves on a tree.

While he was not looking he ran into something and tripped sending his I-Pod flying across the sky. That was until he heard it land...in the water. Just great! Now I have to get a Hermes kid to get me a new one. He sat up from his crouching position and realized his legs were still over the object...err girl.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't even notice you! Are you okay?"

Artie blushed. "Uh....." she stuttered. "I'm Artie, daughter of Hermes." She looked at the guy."Um, sorry about getting in you way. I'll get you a new IPod, if I can...Also, some drachmas, but, yeah...." Why am I being a chatterbox? I'm not like this! She thought. Artie was not used to talking without pausing for the other person to talk.

Did she blush? He realized he might have been awkward keeping his legs on her and moved them off. "It's fine I'll trick one of your brothers for a low price." He smiled and hoped she wouldn't get angry about it.

"So enjoying the sun?" He didnt exactly like jogging without music so he decided to stay with her and talk. Atleast till lunch that was.

She smiled. "Yeah. This is my favorite place to relax and get away from training." At least things were getting less awkward between them. "Do you want a Pepsi?" she asked, grabbing her backpack. "My brothers finally taught me how to sneak in a whole six-pick of them. Before I could just take one or two in..."

Andrew looked around and nodded his approval. "Looks a lot better than my favorite place, which happens to be the Arena. Well not exactly my favorite just really the only place I go now a days." He'd been practicing a lot and it seemed to pay off. Atleast against Estelle's and Conrad's brothers and sisters. Though he could take Conrad, Estelle would be a different situation.

Andrew looked down at the Pepsi's and shook his head, as tempting as they were. "I'm trying to get rid of soda gotta keep that six pack." He laughed a little at his stupid joke. "Though I might take you up on that sometime cause I'll give in. Discipline isn't really my strong suit." He smirked just a little.

Artie smiled. "Fine, suit yourself." She got a can out and took a sip. "What?!" she said, shocked. The can was empty. She took the whole pack out, knowing that it was empty. "Curse my brothers... Took the pack drank it all, then gave it back." She sighed. "You never said your name. I know your the son of that goddess Harmonia, but what's your name?"

Andrew started laughing at her mistake. "Never trust a Hernes boy. Doesn't get you anywhere." He caught his breath from the chuckling. What a noob. "Yeah nanes Andrew Sully son of Hamonia though I am not that hippy dude on the corner of 8th street." He smiled he liked that one definitely going in the book.

Artie rolled her eyes. "I have to live with them for the whole summer." She laughed. "I heard, uh, from the Aphrodite Cabin that you are dating Lily from the Poseidon cabin? Is it true?" Her blue eyes glinted with evil.

'Yes it is,' Estelle said in an evil, gleeful manner, sitting down next to Artie. 'And they are the cutest couple ever.'

"Hi Estelle. I knew it! One of my brothers owes me 5 Drachmas!" She said, smiling.

"Hate to be a spoiler of good fortune but no we aren't. Just friends." He smiled and waved at Estelle. "Where's Acacia?" He looked at the sky and didn't see her probably in the woods close by the beach.

'She's coming, right after she finishes her snack,' A mouse, she wanted to add, but didn't for the sake of their stomachs. 'There she comes,' she pointed off to the direction of the woods.

"You and Lily make a good couple and you guys seem a bit more then friends." Artie got out some chips out of her bag. "Anyways, how's your summer so far?" she asked both of them.

Estelle shrugged. 'The usual.' she smiled. 'For a half-blood, that is. I've been training every day, and I almost mastered French now.' she thought of her other various projects, but she didn't want to overwhelm people with useless information about what she was doing. Acacia landed on her shoulder, gripping her tshirt. She unhooked the owl's talons from the fabric and held her in her arms. 'Good meal?' Acacia hooted. A snack, it protested. A mouse. Estelle groaned. 'You didn't have to tell me that.'

Artie smiled at the owl. "Hi." she said, eating another chip. "That's fun... sort of." She got out a book. "I'm trying to work on my dyslexia, but I still, kind of, hate reading... I wish every English thing was in Greek."
