Wind Control..Sort of....(open)

(I feel like I've been gone for a while thanks to school and need to get back into the routine of this site)

Justin had walked into the Arena, shortly after finishing his lunch. The main reason he was here was to practice his wind control. Being the son of Zeus he was suppose to be good at it. But for Justin it was his weakest area. The camper walked towards a row of scarecrows. "Not sure what to do now..."

He stood there awkwardly, always about to do something but never actually going through with the practising. Justin eventually just began making small gust of wind and throwing them at the scarecrows. Of course the first wave of wind didn't do anything. But he still had some energy.

leilani walked into the arena, hoping to get some practice in, she wasn't particularly good with bladed weapons, she was more comfortable with her senbons and her powers. She was surprised when a gust of wind hit her, especially since today was a pretty windless day. She looked up to see another camper, a boy who looked rather focused.

Justin fell to the ground, ready to stop and go practise with his sword. He was getting tired quickly, and also kinda hungry. "Maybe I'm just meant to be a lightning kid." he thought to himself. Justin got out his sword and began swinging at the dummies, not really paying attention to his surroundings.

Leilani hoped the kid wouldn't notice her, when he turned and practiced with his sword, she was greatful. She grabbed a sword off the rack, holding it clumsily I'm her hand. She swung at a dummy, and lost her grip on her sword, which crashed to the ground so loudly they could probably hear it in the underworld.

Out of nowhere, Justin heard the sound of something hitting the ground. He turned around to see a sword and a girl who he never met. "Lucky for you, it didn't kill me." he told her before returning to butchering a dummy. Justin began to notice burns on his target, but he figured it was from left over electricity.

"Sorry, I-Im not a sword fighter normally." Leilani saw that the boy had already turned away, going to hit a dummy. He probably assumed that she was some new camper. Leilani knew she was a horrible fighter, at least with blades, she felt stupid for even thinking she could use one properly. Without her knowing it, plants started popping up from the ground, the dummy that the boy was hitting became completely covered in vines and even bark, as though a tree were growing out of it.

Justin began to notice what she was doing. He let out a sigh and made his way to the next dummy. "So you're a Demeter kid I take it." He stated while slashing the head off the human model. Justin made his way over to a swivel dummy that had many arms. He liked it for hand to hand combat.

Leilani blushed seeing that she had lost control for a few moments, she cut off her powers. "um...yea I'm a Demeter kid, sorry my uh powers flare up sometimes, it doesn't happen often." Leilani was embarrassed now, her powers usually were completely under control. She probably seemed like a new camper to this guy. "I'm uh...actually the cabin leader."

((Would it be alright if I join? I haven't been active lately because of college and I'd like to get back into the swing of things too, if it's alright.))

Justin laughed se her response. "It happens to me to." Except if it happens with him, he could start a forest fire. What caught him by surprise though was the fact she was a Cabin Leader. "You don't seem like the take charge kind of girl." Justin responded. He got slammed in the arm by a wooden pole. He had to take a step back, and take a break from that he thought.

"You mean I'm not good enough, you think I'm the type to sit on the sidelines and watch?" Leilani always had the those doubts about herself, but it was worse hearing somebody else saying them. It reminded her of her father, why couldn't she be perfect likeher sister Nalani. No matter what Leilani did she never was good enough. No she had earned the title of Cabin Leader, that was something she was sure of.

"That's not what I meant..." Justin said awkwardly. "I meant I thought you would be somewhere on the middle of sidelines and leader." Hoping that sounded better. Justin didn't think he was that great at saving himself from things he says, but hopefully this time he said the right thing.

"your not very good at making people feel better, you know that." regardless Leilani smiled at his attempt, though she was still rather insulted by his comment, she already had enough doubt about herself, she didnt need others doubting her ability. "you act as though you actually know me"

Justin shrugged at her. "I'm kinda judgemental sometimes." Justin walked to a bench and sat down, hopefully the pain would pass soon. He wasn't really sure what to do now. Justin decided to take another shot at the wind thing.
