Post  Fionna Roussaeau Mon Jan 20, 2014 2:08 pm

Name: Fionna Marie Roussaeau
Age: Sixteen
God Parent: Aphrodite
Mortal Family: General Jean Rossaeau. (father)
Years in Camp: 4
Brief History:
"Take care of our child." The familiar croon of a woman he knew all to well shook Jean Roussaeau out of his slumber. He groaned as he sat up, confused with his mind still somewhat muddled from sleep. 'What could that possibly mean?.." He thought. Before his piercing blue eyes went wide as the situation dawned on him. The unearthly woman he had the pleasure of getting to know embedded itself permenantly into his mind. Her dazzling smile, her laugh, her kisses, and their one night stand that he would remember to his very grave, all came back to him in a matter of seconds.

There was a faint knock on his apartment door, and immediately he rose from his bed.Throwing a white t shirt over his muscled form before answering it. Behind the door was no one in site. He towering marine looked both ways and saw nothing but an empty hall. Muttering a curse under his breath for allowing his imagination to get the better of him, he nearly slammed the door but before he could he was stopped by a sudden wail. His gaze fell to the floor and his body froze. In a golden basket wrapped tight in a white blanket whimpered and flailed a small infant with a note folded over by its feet. Jean read the note, and scoffed. Surely this had to be some sort of sick joke. If it was under any other circumstance, he would have walked away. Or at the very least dropped the child off at the front desk. But he didn't. Instead, he gingerly plucked the basket from the floor and took it inside. Untucking the cloth that covered the newborn's auburn tuffed head to take a better look. A chuckle escaping his chapped lips as he shook his crew cut head. "Ahh. Life is going to be tough on you, little one. But as your mother's child, I will see to it that you are prepared and protected. Daughter of love or not, you will be strong enough to face the horrors of this world. That I promise." Affectionately patting her fuzzy little head, the infant dozed back off again. He plucked the child out of the basket, and kept her next to him as they slept. A hand on the gun beneath his pillow, with the other secured on the child. On the bedroom floor, the note had fallen, and scrawled ever so neatly on the paper in gold, the message read, "Take care of our child."

---
"Faster, Fionna, run faster!" Jean barked savagely as the young toddler was forced to go through multiple obsticles that were set up for her. "Y-yes papa!" She gasped between breaths as she sprinted towards the rock climbing wall. Pausing at the sharp blow of a whistle to fall, and do fifty pushups. As soon as Fionna was able to walk and understand what was being told to her which was at the age of four, her father had her go through years of intense physical training.

"Straighten out! You're losing your form." He bellowed. Nudging her foot with the toe of his boot. Sweat poured down Fionna's full face as she tried to gather the strength to push herself  back up. While most children learned how to read at this age,  every morning at the break of dawn before her father had to get ready for work, they would go through this routine until Fionna reached her physical limit. "You're too slow! Take a lap and start again!" Not daring to have her father wait, Fionna nodded and popped up before taking off to run around the house with her father jogging close behind. "I didn't hear you! That's another lap after this one." "Sir yes sir!"  From the age of four to nine, her life followed a basic schedule.  Every morning was started with a two hour exercise drill. On Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays she'd go through different forms of unarmed combat. Tuesday and Friday she learned how to identify and use weapons. Saturday she would study, and Sunday was her day to do as she pleased. As a child with an abnormal life routine, along with being the daughter of a marine that caused them to move from place to place throughout France every year, it made it hard for Fionna to associate with anyone. Not that she could if she wanted to anyway, Jean refused for Fionna to have any sort of connection with anyone beside himself. "The world that we live in is a dangerous one, Fionna. Especially for children like you, and I'm not going to take any chances with that." He sat up, ruffling her chin length hair before adjusting the black army cap on his head. "Now, go on and get to your studies. When I return, I will consider rewarding you with ice cream. Clear?" Fionna sat up straight and nodded her head. "Yes sir."  Jean saluted the young cadet before heading out. Closing the door that locked firmly behind him.
--
Fionna was twelve years old when her father resigned from his position in the military for injury related reasons, gained american citizenship, and settled in America in New York city. For Fionna, this was a drastic change. As the culture was different, and strange and she had to learn English which she struggled with. "I cannot learn this language. It is too difficult! Not clear and proper like french." She complained to her father while slamming her textbook shut. Raising a brow, Jean sat himself down at the breakfast table. Setting his crutch so that it would lean against the window. "What do you mean?" Fionna gave an aggravated huff before flipping open the book and pushing it towards her father. "I mean it is impossible! I mean when they teach it to me verbally I can somewhat understand and speak it, but when it is written I just can't! Its all mixed up and muddled."  Jean gave the words on the book a long hard look, and with a sigh he handed it back. "It does not surprise me. You are dyslexic." To which Fionna scowled. "Pardon me for saying this, father, but you are mistaken. Look, my french is nothing but perfect. I could even understand and read the language of the Greeks which I learned overnight-" "Pardon?" Jean interrupted. Leaning forward in his chair. "What did you say?" Fionna's voice faltered. "I-i can understand the language of the Greeks." She repeated. Rummaging through her bag to hold up a book of Greek mythology that she had gone over in class. "I cannot read the English parts, but the Greek I can." Jean gave her a questioning look that caused Fionna to grow nervous. "I do not know how or why, it is weird, but its true." At this, Jean closed his eyes and sighed. "It was only a matter of time before you found out on your own. I was hoping to wait until you were thirteen for me to explain, but I suppose the time to tell you is now." At this, it was Fionna's turn to be confused. "Tell me what, father?" The middle aged man cracked a smile. "I'm going to tell you a little bit about your mother."
Fionna immediately closed her mouth, and allowed her father to get into the story. "She was a beautiful woman, your mother was. And you remind me of her. Graceful, and ever so charming. You never would have known anyone who had a way with words than she." Fionna let his words sink in. " She was a Greek woman. That is probably how you obtained an affinity for the language." After a moment of silence, Fionna quietly asked. "What happened to her? Did she die?"  Jean shook his head. "No. She's not dead. She just couldn't stay. But I'm sure wherever she is now, she has you in her thoughts." As he talked about her, Fionna could see the pain in his eyes despite the calm composure he put on.
For the sake of respect for him, Fionna held her tongue. Transfixing her gaze to the ground so that he would not see the growing rage that boiled inside. "I see. Thank you for sharing your story, sir." Jean nodded. And with a sip of his coffee, he dismissed her with the blow of his whistle. "Breakfast is over, head out back and train."
And that she did. Though not before getting a razor and shaving her auburn head into a buzz cut. Her knuckles, wrapped in protective bandages mercilessly attacked the punching bag that was set up as her target. "How dare you hurt my father. How dare you abandon us!" Each hit intensifying with her rage. "Whoever or where ever my mother is, I don't care if i ever get to see you. I want nothing to do with you." With an enraged cry, and flying kick to the bag, it snapped off the chain. But it wasn't enough. Fionna scanned the area looking for any sort of weapon, only to find a metal rod. Picking it off the ground she walked over to the bag, and with all her might, impaled it right through the center. "I will never be like you..."
---
On Fionna's thirteenth birthday, she came home from a morning jog to find her father dead in the kitchen with a hideous, feathery demon perched on his chest, feasting on his very flesh. Her mortified screams catching the creature's attention. "Demi-god!" It rasped. While Fionna scanned the room for a weapon to use to defend herself with. " Harpy will devour the demi god!" Baring its crooked fangs and jutting out its claws, it flew up ad dove straight at Fionna who dove into a  summersault out of the way just in time for it to crash into the fridge which it fell on top of the creature that growled in irritation. Taking a kitchen knife from the confinements of one of the drawers. Fionna poised herself in a battle stance, her eyes locked on the creature that shoved the fridge off its body. "What are you?!" Fionna demanded. Her body trembling from shock and rage. "Why did you kill my father?" The demon howled with laughter at the sight of the blade. "With a toy like that, no chance! Demi god has no chance!"  The demon's laughter was cut short as the knife embedded itself into its shoulder. "You little-!" Fionna grabbed more knives from the drawer and ran for the front door with the demon right at her heels. Fionna kicked open the door and jumped as creature dove again. Landing on the creatures back as it took to the sky. "Get off! Get off!" It screeched. Flapping its wings as it shook and turned in an attempt to shake the demi god off. Fionna secured her legs around its neck and stabbed the kitchen knives into its shoulders. The monster yelped and Fionna jumped off its back as it crash landed into a tree. The creature shook its head and fluffed its wings. "As harpy said. Demi god has no chance with toy like that. Demi god is defenseless. Demi god will die now!"
Before the harpy could lunge, a male voice cried, "Demi god, catch!" Fionna caught the object that was tossed to her. She looked at it in confusion. It was a black leather bracelet with bronze colored spikes decorates vertically around it. "A bracelet? How is THIS supposed to help me??" The harpy screeched and dove to peck at Fionna which she side stepped and retaliated with a solid high kick to the side of its head. "Clip it to your belt loop!" "Is this supposed to be some form of a joke?" "Just trust me!" Left with no other choice, Fionna clipped the bracelet to her belt loop and her eyes widened as it transformed into a belt that fastened around her waist. The decorative stripes of metal becoming throwing knives with two combat daggers strapped to her hips. "Look out!!" Fionna unsheathed the combat dagger and jammed it into the advancing bird demon's jugular. Causing a pained cry to escape its throat as it deteriorated into a pile of golden dust. Before Fionna could comprehend what had just happened, a boy stepped out from behind a tree. "Boy, that sure was a close one! Eh Demi-god?"

The boy was African American in decendent. He was lean, yet built and had a goofy grin. Under normal circumstances, Fionna would have found him cute. That is until she noticed the horns that poked out from his head and the fact that he had GOAT LEGS. Fionna prepared to throw one of her knives at him until the goat boy took hold of her hand. "Easy there, hot stuff. I'm not gonna hurt you. The name's Willow, but everybody calls me Will." Fionna pushed him back. "Do not touch me William, or Will. Whatever you are!" She hissed, drawing a knife from her belt. "My father was just murdered by a horrible chicken monster, so do not dare tell me to calm down!" The goat man raised his arms in a form of surrender. "You're right, my bad. And I'm sorry for your loss. But look, there's no time. You're not safe here." Fionna scoffed, turning to walk away. "Go figure..." He grabbed her arm.  "No, you're really not safe here! Please, here me out. I'm a satyr. I was sent here to retrieve people like you."

Fionna pulled her arm back. "People like me? As if I know what that even means!" She snapped, turning to glare into his coffee brown eyes. "And what is a Demi god anyway? And why do you and that creature call me that?" Willow shrugged. "I'm a satyr, that creature that attacked you was a harpy, and you're a demigod. Or as people back at home like to call it, half blood. Half human half god. And I'm willin' to bet that you're a kid of Ares with the way you fought that thing and your temper. Then again you're wayyy too pretty to be part of that cabin, maybe Athena-OW!"  Fionna yanked at his horn and brought him down to her level. "Now you listen and you listen well, goat boy! You either stop with this nonsense and explain to me what is really going on, or i'll-" A monstrous cry echoed from the distance. Causing Fionna and Willow to look up. "That's our cue to leave. Come on!" Grabbing her arm, he pulled her behind the house and into the woods letting her go so that she could catch up with him which she did effortlessly. "Where are you taking me?" She asked. As the Satyr clopped his way through the forest. "To camp half blood! Its only a couple of hours away from here by foot, but its worth it. You'll be safe there, I promise!"  She sighed in defeat, and said nothing more in order to save her breath as she ran along with him. Only looking back over her shoulder once as she watched her home slip further and further away. With a tear slipping down her cheek, she saluted towards the house before turning her attention back ahead. Never to look back again after that day.

---
When Fionna arrived at the camp. Her feet were somewhat sore, and she panted silently. Though in comparison to her escort, she was in perfect shape to run again if she needed to. "You've got...some legs to you girl...ooh! Hold on, lemme catch my breath." She corners of her lips etched into a slight smirk, as she then looked around to take the scenery in. It wasn't the camp she was expecting. Yes there were cabins and people wore matching shirts, but it was far from the average camp that she could ever imagine. For one, the cabins were all structured differently and weird. Each one branded with a unique symbol. Kids of all ages ran around. Most equipped with armor and weapons, while others talked among themselves in groups. It was beautiful here. Yet at the same time unsettling. As Fionna wasn't accustomed to seeing so many people of her own age gathered together in one place. "Ehh? Ehh? What did I tell ya? Pretty cool, right?" Willow grinned. Nudging her side. Fionna didn't say anything. She just nodded and started walking around. Exploring the place that she was from this day forth to call her home.

"Where do I stay?" Fionna asked Will. Upon seeing him later that night at the camp fire. Watching him walk up to her with a plate of different assertions of food. To which he shrugged. "The  Hermes cabin. That is, until your god parent claims you. Which then you'll be assigned to the cabin that matches the sign your parent will give you."  Fionna raised a brow, "A sign. Like what?" William opened his mouth to explain but before a singe word slipped out, his jaw dropped. His eyes entirely transfixed on her. Feeling more than one set of us on her, she looked around to see everyone looking at her at once. "What? Why is everyone looking at me? Stop that." She demanded. A blush coloring her pale cheeks. "Thank the gods and their timing." Will whispered. Fionna smacked him. "Could you not? I repeat, what is going on??" Wordlessly, a boy in fashionable clothing strutted up to her with a full length mirror. "What's going on? You got claimed girl, and you are looking FABULOUS!" He gushed. To which Fionna gasped upon looking in the mirror. Her hair that was chin length now descended down her shoulders in a radiant wave of auburn. Her simple outfit was replaced with a figure hugging white floor length gown with a slit at he thigh, and her makeup which she had never worn in her life, was done so perfectly that she hardly was able to recognize herself. Everyone knelt as Will smiled goofily. "Hail, Fionna. Daughter of Aphrodite."

Physical Appearance: Fionna looks exactly as she is. A youthful teenager of sixteen on the verge of blossoming into a breath taking young woman. Short in stature, she  stands an approximate height of  five feet and an inch tall give or take depending on her choice of shoewear. Her hair consists of  thick, straight vibrant locks of auburn that reaches a little over shoulder length. Usually intertwined  in a single messy braid covered by a black military cap, with her above the chin length bangs left loose and parted over in a way that often hangs over her eyes and forehead.   Despite the fact that she doesn't mind being coated in grime and blood, as the substance was no stranger to the girl, she keeps herself  well cleansed, and professional. Her thin eyebrows are shaped evenly with her complexion clear of any pubic flaw or alterations. Her nose was small and taut,  her lips full and shell pink, and her teeth whether barred or smiling, are revealed to be straight and white. Between a curtain of long dark lashes lay her wide eyes that stand out as her trademark feature. Altering in color depending on her mood. Usually when indifferent, a forest green,  brightened into warm polished pools of emerald when amused or amored, and hardened over with an intense glaze of icy blue when provoked.  Physically at first glance, she is seen with a "delicate" physique due to its petite structure. Small sculpted shoulders, the ripe tender size of her round 36-B sized bust, and the graceful slants that curve out to form her hips and ample heart shaped bottom complete with long willowy limbs. Though from years of personal training since the young age of three, her once wiry structure took shape and hardened  over with solid muscle, giving density to het light weight of 100ibs. Though unlike some of the toughened, mature beauty that most demi-gods may possess. She happens to be part of the minority with a softer, more exotic appearance that could pull off both innocent, and seductive. The pale ivory flesh that coats her very muscle and bone may seem flawless at first glance, but there are scars that decorate the surface of her body that tells a rough, and darker story.  Her wardrobe, despite being the child of Aphrodite, is limited, not fashionable or typically appropriate for a teenage girl. Her trademark outfit consists of the clothes she arrived in. A leather jacket, over a black form fitting t shirt, a pair of camouflaged pants held up by a utility belt that her multiple throwing knives and combat daggers are strapped to, and supple black leather combat boots that mold perfectly to her feet.

Personality: Like the way she presents herself, her attitude shows just that. A prideful woman used to being in command and having a form of authority, expressing  from habit that she doesn't take orders from just anyone. She is easily bored, and inexpressive with her feelings at most times, she acts as if she sees anything and everything as pawns. Pawns that exist to serve her and attend to her very needs. Though this, is not the real case. Her virtue being her brutal honesty and straight forwardness that makes sure that nobody is informed wrongly, and that her feelings and thoughts are made clear. She is obsessed with order, and organization, anyone who falls out of line won't make the same mistake twice. Unlike most however, she is calm and reserved with her intentions. And if she is to step up to a a dominant role, she does so with a calm mind set, and confident posture with no fear of the consequences that could result to her actions. Though she is easy to irritate which may lead to a not so peaceful approach, she can hide her feelings behind a cold mask, only her eyes betraying her. Despite her usually collective state, she is easy to irritate and fluster especially when she is disrespected, approached in an inappropriate manner, teased or touched without consent. A side in which she does not like to reveal. Though as harshly as she seemingly treats others, in reality she truly does care for her teammates and will not forgive anyone who brings them harm. Revealing a softer side that isn't so commonly shown. Towards any small, pure, polite, or timid being, she can't help but take a distinct liking to them that shows itself through the changes of her tone of voice, or a softened shine in her eyes. Competitive in nature, she cannot turn down a challenge offered out to her no matter who threw it out and will follow any rule given due to her respect for them even if it means to lose, which she despises more than rule breakers and imperfection. However, with every decent trait comes with a darker side that illuminates through her eyes in the form of sadism. All who she deems as enemies fall under it when captured. All due to the principle of war that she was taught by her father, anyone that is deemed as an enemy must be taken out. Betrayal, another sin she seems as the worst possible crime to commit. And once someone betrays her trust, they're as good to her as dead. This trait also revealing that she is quite the grudge holder. In regards of interest, she enjoys various sweets and desserts along with tea followed by her love and talent for music, dance, and art. Such an interest that she displays along her quarters frequently and will occasionally display, while doing one of these activities she reveals a more, relaxed and happier side to herself that barely anyone would get a chance to see. She admires intelligence, as well as confidence, and in reality, just prefers to be around company that shares her views and interests her. These traits, holding l, though at the same time, much more different in comparison. Her sense of humor is sarcastic, and somewhat dark considering the circumstances that she may be in. Though nevertheless, she has a knack of being charming when she wants to be. Making all of this apparent when she laughs, or chooses to engage in casual conversation. All in all, being the ideal, independent soilder that has more to offer than she chooses to express.

Fatal Flaw: Stubbornness. When Fionna sets he mind to something, no one can stop her from changing her mind. If its a goal, or a challenge, she will accept it and achieve victory even if it means she'll die because of it.
Talents: Melee combatant, agility, and gymnastry.
Powers: Being the daughter of Aphrodite she can manipulate her appearance to a minor degree. And can attract almost anyone by simply walking buy regardless of how she looks, making enemies more reluctant to attack her even while she charges at them. She also has minor control of love magic.
Weapons: A bracelet that transforms into a belt of a dozen throwing knives and two foot long combat daggers. They are all made of celestial bronze, and reappear on the belt even when discarded or thrown away. And if her weapons don't work, she'll use her own hands and feet.
Traits: Loves sweets, cute things, and competition.
Hates bitter foods, disrespect, and losing.
And fears being trapped, or being considered weak.

I'm going to guess this is a WIP?

If not the there needs to be a fatal flaw and more detail about her history.

Either way there's just little things that needs to be fixed. Her age needs to be lower due to Percy's deal with the gods about a demigods being claimed at the age 13. There's another option of putting up how long she's been in CHB though too. And also the detail of how evetything really isn't necessary, this is a PG-13 site, sorry.

That's really all I see and what you have is great! Very Happy

HOLY MOTHER FLIPPIN' COW -- I mean, oh boy, a military version of Daquiri with smaller boobs, this oughta be fun. (The camp's going to explode)
Really, though, is there some competition I don't know about to see who can make the longest application? Looks excellent, though. I give my stamp of approval, just wait for another admin to weigh in.
