Years in Camp: She's new.
Brief History: She and her dad lived in Mexico until she was about a year old, then moved to Arizona. Her dad was in the Army, so they ended up moving around a lot. She adored her father, and didn't care that she had no mother. It was perfect with just the two of them. But right around her seventh birthday, her father was killed in action and she was sent to her with her aunt and drunk, abusive uncle. Her aunt hated her, but her uncle was a lot worse. She was either bullied or completely ignored at school, and was called a freak for a couple incidents that involved moving shadows. She ended up skipping school a lot just to escape the bullies. For three years she lived like that, being abused at home and at school. Then her house was attacked by cyclops. Her aunt and uncle were killed, and Zoe barely escaped. For the nest two years she lived on the streets, wandering around until she accidentally made it too Camp.
Physical Appearance: Zoe has long, thick black hair that is kind of messy and shaggy. She has large, almond shaped green eyes with an intense stare. She has creamy bronze skin, and her back and sides are covered in nasty looking scars. She's about average height for her age, maybe 5'3", but she's very small and skinny, only weighing about 90 pounds. She has the lithe, athletic build of a gymnast or a dancer. Her face is small and heart shaped with high cheekbones, and framed by her side bangs. She goes barefoot a lot, and almost always wears her favorite dark grey hoodie.
Personality: Zoe is so quiet that it's hard for people to figure her out. She tries really hard to keep her emotions and feelings inside, but of course she can't keep it up all the time. On the outside, she's tough, sarcastic, no nonsense. But in reality she's confused and insecure. She's always worrying about what people will think about her, and because of this she's always very nervous when she's around other people. She tries to hide her fears and weaknesses, because she hates being thought of as weak. She isn't really weak, she's actually surprisingly strong and mature for her age, but most people don't see that. She has a lot of courage for someone so young, and despite her shy, quiet personality, she's a big daredevil, and often tries crazy stunts for the fun of it. She doesn't do things for attention, she really hates being the center of attention. She has serious trust issues, and hardly ever opens up to people, and even once she does, it takes forever for her to fully trust them. Also, Zoe has low self esteem and thinks she's ugly and everything she does is horrible.
Fatal Flaw: She worries a lot about what people think. She's always worried that people will hate her, or call her a freak, or ugly. She'll go to great lengths to try to prove herself and try to be accepted.
Talents: Being a daughter of Nyx means she can manipulate darkness and shadows, she can see in the dark, and she's stronger at night. Manipulating shadows exhausts her, and she isn't very good at it yet. She's fairly good with a bow, and all right with her knives, but mainly she's fast and agile, good at gymnastics and hand to hand fighting. 
Weapons: A bow, and sometimes she uses two long knives.
