This is Why I Came Here [OPEN]

Helena walked towards the direction of The Arena. The second reason she might stay here longer was to train more. First was to keep her mother safe from the monsters, of course. But if she had a choice, she wouldn't stay here. She's looking forward to learning more new weapons and improve her skill. She's telumkinetic, she could summon any weapon of her choice for fighting. A skill she got from her God of a parent, Ares. But she could only summon weapons that she's trained with and only one at a time.

She reached The Arena and saw straw dummies in Greek armor scattered around, weapons and other training materials. There were a few campers practicing and she observed their moves. She's trying to select a new weapon to learn in mind. She only knew daggers and spears, so her skill's only limited to them for now. Her hair clip's also magical because it could turn into a spear if she needed it. Another problem is, who would help me with a new weapon? She sighed and pouted on the ground.

Jace was working around a dummie, his bronze sword a flashing in the sun, there where mand slices on the armor,mand then the armor would fall and Jace trips on it. He will then get up and pick up his sword, walking over to a new dummie, he will continue on like nothing happened. He was fighting decently from the few lessons that a ares camper gave him, well more like tested on him. His sword clanked loudly on his froth swing, and it was suddenly gone, and Jace would yell, it startling him.

A sound of a weapon clanging against an armor caught Helena's attention. She looked in the direction where the sound was coming from and saw a camper practicing. He's taller than her, but a bit thin for his height. He had long, white hair and he's using a bronze sword against the dummy. She walked closer towards him, careful not to take him by surprise. She didn't like the idea of her being diced up here in Camp.

"That weapon looks good." She said as she got the right distance for him to hear her. "Dagger." She whispered and a silver dagger appeared on her hand. She made it disappear quickly. She just want to check her skill's still with her just in case this guy would attack or something. She held her arms behind her and waited for the camper to notice her.

Jace would head over to where the swords shrunken portable,form was, which was a mechanical pencil. He then turns towards the girl and say"Thank you." softly, and as he saw her he would say"You have buetiful hair." then he will put the pencil in his pocket, and stretch his arm and sigh.

Helena saw how the boy's sword turned into a mechanical pencil, like what her spear did turning into her hair clip. He turned to face her and said,"Thank you." I guess I wouldn't need my telumkinetic skill now. "You have beautiful hair." He said as he stretched his arm and let out a sigh. She blinked and shook her head. What did he just say? She composed herself and replied, "Thank you. I am new here and uhh...I want to learn how to use a sword." She hoped she had the right camper to help her learn her new weapon.

"Thank you. I am here to learn how to use a sword." She said. Jace was walking over to grab a new training armor for the dummie he broke the armor strap off. He will say to her"Well, I'm still learning. I believe I'm not much help." he walks back, over and puts the armor on a dummie and then will punch it once, then watch as it fell, from him not puting it together correctly.

Helena saw the other boy grabbed a new armor for his dummy. She waited for his response and suddenly he said, "Well, I'm still learning. I believe I'm not much help." What?! She looked at him as he tried to put the new armor and but to no avail. Bad luck. "So, still learning, huh? What weapon are you good at, then?" She thought of challenging the camper. Her mood got bad that she approached someone as underskilled as her. She played with her fingers behind her as she looked at the boy tried to correctly place the armor.

On his 5th try he got it on correctly, then he would turn his full attention towards the girl. "Well I have a small talent for this sword.I have a ares kid some trouble in a spar." he would say as he pulls the pencil out and clicks the top, which made it turn into a sword.

"Oh, I see."Helena said boringly as the boy finally placed the armor correctly in the dummy after multiple attempts. "Well I have a small talent for this sword.I have a ares kid some trouble in a spar." She heard him say as he pulled out his pencil that turned into his weapon. So an Ares kid, huh? She looked into the dummy beside his and whispered, "Dagger." A silver dagger appeared in her hand and she threw it effortlessly into the dummy's heart. "How long have you been here, anyway?" She asked as she summoned another dagger and thew it at the dummy's head.

Jace sees her throw the dagger and would wince. How did she get a dagger out of thin air? Was she a child of Hermes or sees, cause those are the only traits I can think of when I see this. he thinks to himself. "well I have been her for a day or two, I think I came here the same day as you? That's what I have heard at least from other people." he says as he gets into a defensive position in front of a dummy and would swing and the sword getting right under the helmet, cutting the dummies head off, post and all. He then stands straight and sighs. "Third one today." he says softly.

Helena saw the other camper winced as he watched her summon daggers. "I'm telumkinetic. It's a skill I got from A-" She stopped from mentioning her Godly parent. She hated Ares. Never in her life had he visited her. And then suddenly he would claim her and the monsters started to swarm their house. She summoned a spear and threw it on the dummy's chest out of anger.

"Well I have been her for a day or two, I think I came here the same day as you? That's what I have heard at least from other people." She stared at him after hearing him say this. I swear I haven't seen him before. Or maybe I just forgot. He swung his sword and cut the dummy's head off. "Third one today." He said and her eyebrow raised. "Are you uhmm...what do they call it? Claimed?"

Jace would wince again as the spear was thrown. He then would grip his sword hilt tightly, his knuckles turning white. "No, I haven't been claimed. I was though told who my parent is. Well at least I got a hint on who it was." Jace would say as he walked up to another dummy and would attack it, his sword leaveing a gash in the armor, and a high pitched scraping sound would be heard. He then presses a button, which turned it back into a pencil. "Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm confused on who my parent is." he says as he walks back to her.

"No, I haven't been claimed. I was though told who my parent is. Well at least I got a hint on who it was."Helena heard the other camper say as he attacked the dummy. He slashed it and it left a damage on the new armor. He turned the weapon back into a pencil and said, "Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm confused on who my parent is." Poor kid. It must be hard being here in a place of mythical beings and still didn't belong somewhere."Why did you come here, then?"She stopped summoning weapons and went towards her dummy to pull out the daggers and the spear. She looked at him and said, "I'm Helena, by the way."

"Helena, that's a nice name. I'm Jace." he says watching her walk towards the dummy to retrieve the things she threw. He was quite tired from him practicing for most of the day..

"Helena, that's a nice name. I'm Jace." Helena heard the other camper replied while she take her weapons from the dummy's body. "What cabin do you stay in now?" She asked Jace as she played with the sharp edge of the dagger against the spear. She would try her luck some other time. Maybe she could find another camper who could help her learn use a sword.

"Im in the Hermes cabin for now." Jace says to Helena. He was drinking a bottle of water he pulled out of his pocket. The water has some snow in the bottle, and it would slush as he took a drink of it.

"I'm in the Hermes cabin for now." Helena heard Jace replied. Oh, yeah. I heard that's where the unclaimed kids go. Must be hard keeping up with unclaimed kids and the kids of Hermes, with their mischief and tricks and all. She let out a big sigh, thankful she didn't have to experience that. "Cool." She managed to say as she watched Jace quench thirst. "If you're uhm, heading back there, mind if I walk with you? I need to check on some things in the cabin." She then made all the weapons in her hand disappear.

Jace shrugs as she asks if she can come with."I don't see why not." he says to her as he walks towards the arenas exit, takeing short strides hopefully not to lose the girl behind him.
