The date (Lily)

Whitney walked to a quiet spot with a breathtaking view with Liky. it was their first 'date', and Whitney wanted everything to perfect. That's why he knew that in approximately twenty-two minutes, it would be sunset.

“Nice spot,”lily said as she walked over to Whitney. Her first official date. She smiled atWhitney. The tide was clam today. Perhaps dad approved of the date.

"Thanks." he replied. Hopefully her dad wouldn't send a tsunami. He took a blanket out, and spread it out. Then he took out a picnic basket, and took the food out. Some fruit, some pizza, fresh water, and some vegatables.

“Lovely” lily murmured. She could hear some crabs Whispering Hey, look at the daughter of Poseidon and that kid! Lily gently said “Go,” and tgey went away bursting with gossip. she sat On the blanket quietly.

Whitney saw her whisper something to the crab. 'It probably has to with the whole 'daughter of Poseidon' thing.

"So, Lily, um... just so you know, I have no idea what to say or do on a date." Whitney said, uneasily.

“Let'S just talk, okay?” Lily said brightly. “You know..we're kinda too young for the gross stuff. Just... Like really close friends. Special friends.”lily smiled. She hoped this would last. A breakup? Hopefuly not soon. It could break her fragile heart. Again.

"Yeah." Thank the gods she had thought of something. "That's kinda along the lines of what I was thinking. So anywho, what's it like being a daughter of Poseidon?"

“You can spend a lot of time at a beach with fishy friends and you're a celebrity to them. it's fun,”Lily shrugged. Yup, she liked her friends. Innocent and pretty. She liked all of them.

"That actually sounds like one of those things that doesn't sound fun, but always turns out to be fun." He replied with a laugh. "So, now it's your turn to ask me a question. Ask anything and I'll answer it. Scout's honor. Though I quit because of the whole overly religious thing..."

Lily was quiet for a moment and she spoke up. “Tell me... About the day ypu came here. Please. You share mine and i want to share yours, too.” she said a little quietly. Was jis as painful?probably not.

"I had ran away from this adoption center, run by a church, and I found a runaway facility. I had stayed there for a year, when a saytar had found me, the saytar was disguised the head of the facility. He took me here then. Not really a lot to it. My turn again, if you had to choose any other godly parent, who would it be?"

“Perhaps... Apollo, i think. Your Dad seems cool, too.”Lily said.“You?”

"Poseidon," he said. He looked out to the sea and shouted "definitely Poseidon!" He was now kissing up to the gods. Great. His biggest dream.

“You'd be pretty nice to have as a half- brother,”Lily smiled happilyas she looked in his eyes. Pretty ans charming. How nice. Just like Paul.

"Thanks." He said to her. He noticed it was sunset then. The color blend of red, pink, orange, and yellow was simply beautiful, and the reflection that the water gave off, slightly distorted because it was beginning to ripple. "Look." Whitney pointed towards the sunset."Beautiful, isn't it?"

“Magnifient,”Lily murmured. She liked the sunset. Tears appeared in her eyes and she looked at the. Sunest, locked in a distant flashback.

The sand was golden, the water was blue, the sunset was perfect, what more could he ask for on a date with Lily? Nothing. "Lily, do you know when the harpiess come out?" He asked, suddenly get wide-eyed.

Lily awoke into reality. She drowsily muttered “The harpies? Hmmm. Pretty soon. We should go to our cabinns. ” and she stood up, shaking her head to anchor herself to the world. She looked around amd noticed that her puppy had wandered off. Now where could he be? She sat up

"Well, bye" he said to her. Whitney was sad. He almost wanted that moment in time where everything was perfect to go on forever. He smiled at her and walked away.
