[Don't worry Ceru, it's all good. And yeah, I was talking to that guy earlier and I asked him what other things he did beside trolling/spamming and he didn't really give me a legitimate answer... *shrugs* Jay, you ready to reply? ]

[Gosh, I haven't made an rp post in a while here. T_T I heard there was a rule against double posting, so I'm restraining myself from making Cat do any more stuff until someone else rps... Corra, feel free to jump in now. ]

Corra, walking by herself away from the lonely Aphrodite cabin, saw a group in the distance. She sighed. Walking closer to them, she saw it was nobody she knew. New campers, it looked like. Probably not claimed yet. Smiling to herself, she saw this as an opportunity to make new friends, as she loved to do. She half-jogged over to the group, brightening her expression. She really should stop feeling sorry for herself.
"Hi!" she said, looking at each face individually. "I'm Corra, one of the very few daughters of Aphrodite we have here. What's up?" She cursed herself in her head. She had to stop being so bubbly. She blamed her mother.

[Pfft I know Ceru, I just prefer to keep Cat in one place at a time, keep the story... how do you say... aligned, parallel, correlated, organized... something along those lines. ]


  Cat turned to see a girl walking towards her and Jay. She had introduced herself - quite enthusiastically, she might say - as Corra, a daughter of Aphrodite, if she had heard correctly.

  She studied her for a quick second. Of course, as a daughter of Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love and beauty, it made sense that she was pretty, with her pale skin and dark hair, and the splash of freckles across her petite nose. She suddenly remembered the ice princess from earlier, Daquiri. Was she a child of the love goddess as well? She definitely looked like she could be one, although the difference between Corra and Daquiri's attitude was quite apparent; Corra being bubbly and friendly and Daquiri being proud and intimidating. Hm. Perhaps not then.

  Was there a norm for the way demigod children acted, depending on their parent? Estelle, daughter of Athena, had shown clear maturity and intelligence; Jay gave off a quiet, powerful, yet dark and somewhat unnatural aura that would be fitting for someone who claimed to be a son of the god of the Underworld... But then there was Conrad, son of the god of war, yet still seemingly innocent and child-like; there was Jared, and although he was crazy optimistic and 'bright' like a sun god's child could possibly be stereotyped as (god forbid she be so cheesily positive), he looked like he had never spent a day in the sun; and Zach and Syl had seemed like completely normal people, except for the fact that Zach had been casually refletching an arrow. She had no clear answer, so she just put that thought in the back of her mind and returned her attention to the situation at hand.

  Corra looked as if she was cringing slightly, though at what she wasn't completely certain. Cat suddenly wondered if there was something on her face, but dismissed the thought in irritation. What did it matter?

"I'm Cat, I just got here this afternoon," she told Corra. She glanced at Jay. "Jay here's helping me out with getting me settled into the Apollo cabin and notifying..." She blanked out on the name for a second, then recalled, "Chiron."

"Oh, you've been claimed? That's great!" she said, genuinely happy for her. "And by Apollo too, how awesome! How much do you know about the gods?" Seeing as Cat was new, REALLY new, Corra didn't want to overload the poor girl with centuries and genterations of history and facts about the gods and our ancestry. She would eventually figure it out, whether in a good way or a bad way. After all, the more she knew, the more scared she woud become.

Demigods went through a lot. Too much. She didn't want Cat to have to deal with that just yet. She needed rest, to settle down, make friends and meet her siblings. She didn't need the dangers of quests and godly wrath set upon her too early.

With a jolt, Corra realized she felt protective of this girl. She looked young, but not so much younger than her. But she guessed as a daughter of Aphrodite, it was in her nature to protect others, with love and gentleness. One day, she realized, Cat and the other new campers would realize the dangers of this life, and Corra couldn't do anything to stop it. She would have to sit there and watch while it happened.

So she made a deal with herself. She would become this girls friend. She seemed like a good enough girl, after all.

"Maybe if Chiron lets me, I can give you a tour of the camp?" Corra asked, smiling at Cat.

Cat shifted her weight. Was Apollo really that awesome? Well, she did think so too. But that was before she was told he was her dad. That sort of thing was a bit of a game-changer.
 "Oh, I know about the gods, both minor and Olympian. I also know about heroes like Perseus, Theseus, Hercules, and Odysseus; monsters like Cerberus, the Minotaur, harpies and empousai; and other myths, like the one about Calypso's island and Medea and the Titans." Unknowingly, her eyes had lit up and an animated smile had formed on her face as she spoke, but it faded when it suddenly came to her that all the stories were... true. All of them. Allegedly.
Somewhere Atlas was holding up the sky. Theseus had been an actual guy, who had traveled through the perilous Labyrinth with the help of a ball of string and killed the Minotaur. Cerberus was a three-headed dog in the Underworld, where a bunch of ghosts were hanging out with the lord Hades, god of dead people. Allegedly.

"Syl, Andrew and Conrad already showed me most of the camp, actually," she said, pulling herself out of her thoughts. "But thank you for volunteering." She offered Corra a polite smile.

Corra continued smiling. Cat seemed shy-- maybe she could get her out of her shell a bit? "That's awesome. You wanna go do something then? Theres archery, the rock-wall, hanging out in the cabins..." She hesitated a moment, thinking of anything else to do. "Oh! And food! Theres always food!"

She noticed the look on the girls face. Her smile momentarily turning to a frown, she tilted her head. "Oh, am I freaking you out at all? I'm sorry, I guess its an Aphrodite kid thing. We tend to talk a lot, and we love people."

((LAWWWWL, Cat's just going to be like "...Daquiri's an Aphrodite child?"))

[Lawl yeah, she'd have a hard time believing it. XP]

Cat smiled wistfully. She'd always wanted to try archery. Ha, well, now she knew why. "Uh, no, don't worry, you're not freaking me out," she said, shaking her head quickly. "And food sounds good," she added, realizing that she was in fact a little hungry. "I'll just get my stuff into the Apollo cabin, alright?" She began dragging her carry-on along.
"Jay, can you let Chiron know... whatever it is we're supposed to tell him?" she called back over her shoulder to the son of Hades.

She let Cat and Jay bring her things to the Apollo cabin. Corra figured she needed a little bit of time. She sat outside the Aphrodite cabin and waited.

Cat went into the Apollo cabin with slight caution, wondering what she'd find. There were a few sleeping cabinmates, unaffected by her clumsily loud entrance (she really should have thought to be a little more silent) but plenty of empty bunks. She lifted up her carry-on and tiptoed to an isolated bunk, which she carefully put her carry-on beside. She put her big rectangular gym bag on her bed and left her backpack beside it. She let out her breath and stepped away. She'd organize her things later.
  She exited the cabin and looked around for Corra. Suddenly she noticed that the Apollo cabin was no longer glowing. The Artemis cabin, on the other hand, had gained a silvery aura around it, which was steadily growing stronger as the stars began glittering in the dark sapphire blue sky. She smiled wryly. Cool.
