A Fowl Mood

Artemis strode into the arena, sword in one hand, and his favourite lighter in the other. It had awesome 3d bubbles on it, and it made a bigger flame than the others. He glanced around briefly to make sure that no one was watching, and set his Stygian iron sword alight suddenly, the flames engulfing the sword completely. "Woah!" He couldn't help but exclaim at the sight. "This is totally awesome!" Artemis was completely mesmerised by the flames for a moment; it was a truly amazing sight, steel clashing with flame, creating the ultimate weapon.
Despite his reaction, Artemis was still feeling annoyed with the annoying Athena kid. He had had an epic argument with one of the campers over intelligence and battle strategies, and it hadn't exactly ended well. He had come to the Arena to take out his anger on an unfortunate dummy, or even better, an actual person. Whoever or whatever was there at the time, he reasoned, he would thrash completely.

Cameron walked into the arena wielding Thundercloud saw Artemis and said"hey wanna spar."Cameron spun his sword around and held it in a battle stance.

Artemis grinned wickedly. Finally, an excuse to beat someone up, though not too much, obviously."Yeah, that would be good. Cam, isn't it? Hope you don't mind a little fire."
He held his flaming sword in his preferred left hand and took up a defencive position, ready for whatever was thrown at him.

"As long as you don't get annoyed by lightning."Cameron shot lightning at Artemis and charged him but at the last second stopped and flung the slit in thundercloud onto Artemis's sword twisted thus attempting to disarm Artemis.

As Cam went to shoot lightening at him, Artemis appeared to disappear quickly, leaving only his smile momentarily, though his form came into view only seconds later about a metre away from the place where he had just been standing, and lunged with as much force as he could muster at Cam, avoiding the hole in his blade. "Not at all. I'm intregued, in fact. And that move is so predictable."

Cameron dive rolled at Artemis grabbed one of his legs and pulled making Artemis fall down then Cameron hit Artemis with the pummel of Thundercloud in the head and sent a jolt of lightning into his left arm."How predictable was that"Cameron shouted.

Artemis attempted to back up when he realised what Cameron was doing, though he grabbed his leg, forcing him to fall face first to the ground before he could act. He began to push himself up, though Cameron took him completely by surprised and not only hit him hard with the hilt of his sword, but sent a jolt of lightning down his left arm, causing him to drop Hell-Fire, which flickered out within moments of hitting the ground, and he contracted in pain slightly, clutching his arm. "Uhh.. not really." Artemis turned over onto his hands and knees slowly adjusting his weight so as to not lean too much on his left arm, before pushing himself upright, concentrating on the Earth's Continental Plates which would cause a slight earth tremour directly under Cameron that he hoped would be enough to weaken him momentarily, and sidestepped to avoid an attack while tapping his watch that had automatically returned to him, and it instantly elongated until he was holding a spherical steel shield in his right hand.

Cameron fell to the ground but quickly got up"Metal conducts electricity"Cameron shot more lightning at the shield then hit Artemis in the head with the hilt of Thundercloud thus knocking him out.

Artemis groaned at his impudence. It was so obvious. How could he have missed that? He shuddered as a ton of lightning hit his shield, progressing through his body a lot quicker than expected, falling to the ground again due to impact where he lay quite still, shield dropping with a resounding crash, except for the occasional twitch. Despite the blow to the head, and darkness closing in, he was determined not to succumb. He saw large blotches in his vision, and every muscle in his body was writhing in agony both internally and externally,and it would probably have been less painful if he allowed himself to drift off, though he stubbornly refused for the moments that he was conscious, and it was indeed mere moments until Artemis could see nothing but the blotches in his vision, and thought only of the darkness that was surrounding him.
