Training Session with Kris {open}

Kris stepped into the arena and sighed. She was going to do her first training session as an actual teacher. It was stressful to think of because it meant she actually had to be patient with people. Out came another sigh, she needed to get the arena set up for practice. Grudgingly, she walked to the storage room and started tossing dummies out into the open. What have I gotten myself into... she thought. Kris started singing "Going Under" by Evanescence in an attempt to take her mind off of the hard labor.

Fred sat down on the grass she was still stiff and sore from her misadventure with Dom. at least watching someone who could fight would be cool.
" yeh looking fer a sparring partner?"

Hearing the voice, Kris stopped singing and looked in the direction of the voice. She saw it was Fred and smiled. "I am the sparring tutor slash teacher." She moved and started actually setting up the dummies. "I am helping anyone better there fighting skills who wants help."

((it's for anyone who wants to practice and better there skills, so technically it is sparring practice, just with the best swordsman in camp therefore making it a learning environment))

" yer a good singer. to bad im tone deaf my self." fred joked
" so we going ta train or naw?" she said standing up and removing her jacket. her tsirt read.

Lily, who was watching behind called to Fred "Watch out, Fred! She's very good, In fact, the best at camp!" ((No Boasting Intended really))

"Of course," Kris slid the purple jeweled ring off of her left middle finger. She held it in her grasp and swung her arm out to the side as a reverse blade sword grew from her hand. "Whenever you are ready."

" ahhh a reverse blade. easy tae mistake fer a normal Katana. but the cutting edge is on the rising edge." Fred noted with approval.
she swung her claymore up unto her shoulder.

"Very nice choice of weapon." Kris took a fighting stance, low center of gravity, sword hilt close to face, eyes staring down the blade. "Take your stance and attack," she said getting very serious.

Fred simply stood feet apart with her claymore over her right shoulder like a baseball bat.
" ahum ready when you are." she smiled.
" huve you ever faced a claymore before?" she asked.

"No I haven't, so this should be interesting." Kris kept looking down the blade at her opponent. "Attack when ready."

Fred smiled " no after you." she smiled. she wasn't stupid. Kris was obviously the faster of the two of them.
the claymore wasn't a precision weapon. it was designed for bashing cleaving and crushing the opponents. a good warrior could decapitate 6 heads in one swing.

"The teacher never starts the fight." Kris smirked. "And since this is going to be a learning experience, you are to start first."

" fiiiiine." Fred joked.
the most obvious attack would be a right strike. she was set up for one. but the best idea would be...
Fred ducked anb flipped the sword over her head and swung from the left. it wasn't a standard attack. and it was aimed at Kirs's midriff.

Kris' left hand let go of the sword as her right pulled it down to her side to block. She put her left hand against the hilt to absorb the shock of the impact from the claymore. "You are gonna have to be quicker than that to even get close to hitting me.

" speeds naw the issue was a claymore its the impact." Fred twisted mid swing bringing the heavy sword down in a cleaving arc.
but at the apex of the arc she flipped the blade like a baton. gripping the blade like a handle. she used the sword as a hammer.
" if yeh cane oot draw them oot shout them."she joked

"Good tactic" Kris commented on the mid swing change. Upon seeing the sword hilt coming down on her, she ducked and slid to Fred's right. At the same time Kris held her sword out to the side and hit Fred mid-drift with the blunt side of the sword. With Kris' speed there was no way Fred would be able to switch from her overhead swing to a block. "But not good enough."

" tactic shmactic" Fred joked as she launched a side kick catching Kris in the chest. and taking the injury to deliver the attack.
she switched her sword back to a normal grasp. but held it half way up the blade as well. " half swording.a Talhopher tactic" she informed Kris. " im not bothered about getting hurt. whit's the saying aboot pain being weakness leaving the body?"

Kris let out a grunt when the kick connected to her chest. Thankfully her breasts acted as a sort of cushion and the pain subsided quickly. But she wasn't going down quite yet, however she was determined to get Fred to the ground. It would mean game over. She smirked to herself grabbed Fred's leg that was still in contact with her chest and kicked her other leg out from under her.

Fred dropped her weapon and grabbed Kris hair. bringing her down with her.
" when at war.... cheat."she joked.
Fred knew her strengths she wasn't a swordsman. even knowing ken-do and Bushido. she was a brawler a barbarian. a noble one but a barbarian none the less.
she fell to the ground taking Kris with her. "always take the enemy with you." her father used to say.

Kris winced when she was pulled to the ground by her hair. But then she realized the position it put her in. She smirked and easily straddled Fred, pinning her to the ground. In one swift movement, Kris stiff armed Fred's arm and pressed the dull side of her reverse-blade to her opponent's throat. "Check and mate."

this was Fred's area of expertise. she warped her ankles around Kris's neck and levered her off.
"ahm mere acrobatic than i look." she joked.

Kris jumped off of Fred. "You would have been dead, throat cut and beheaded. Fight's over darling." She outstretched her hand to help Fred up, if she wanted the help.

Fred smiled. "ahm better at braking stuff. naw suited tae fencing,"
she was enjoying her self.

"Well then you should get used to swords... they will be your best weapon when you have an opponent with a sword and the intent to kill you. Hand combat can be dangerous unless the other fighter is unarmed as well." Kris stuck her sword into the ground and leaned on it.

"hen im a warrior naw a fencer. ah kin smash-up. people over power them. just naw oot finesse them." she said. "if its in a real a fight. a claymore cane be blocked easily yed snap yer wrist trying to parry it. and it wid cleave a shield. so im naw changing it. any way ah got close te the best in the camp. but ahm hinkin next time we should use training swords." she said standing. " unles yer hant te try and do this mano ah mano. man te man.?" she joked.
