Guitar Hero (Open)

Dominic breathed in deeply as he stood on the sandy beach before the calm ocean waves. His eyes were shut and his guitar was in his hands.
As he breathed in the salt water and the warm ocean breeze, he let himself feel relax and prepare for the task ahead of him.
'Are you ready son of Apollo?' Asked the smooth gentle voice of the young girl that bobbed on the waves that streched over the shores before him.
Her name was Marina, she was a Naiad. She had come to Dominic with a special request. A task that she felt only he could accomplish. A mission that required his skills specificially.
It was a nice change of pace considering Naiads usually flirted with Dominic whenever they saw him.
'I'm ready' Dominic spoke before he raised his fingers to the guitar and began to play.
'My heart’s a stereo it beats for your, so listen close hear my thoughts in every note. Uh oh' Dominic sang and while he sang Marina danced to the beat. Her dark blue hair swirling in the ocean breeze while her shellfish bracelets twirled on her arms.
It was an unusual request to have a jamming session with a naiad, but Dominic didn't mind at all. He hadn't had anyone to play with except his brothers and sisters, and although he liked them it was always the same.
'Make me your radio turn me up when you feel low this melody was meant for you just sing along to my stereo'
At that moment Marina whipped out what looked like a long shell and pressed it to his lips like she was singing into a micophone. She hunched her stance and began to sway in a more street like dance as she began to rap.
'If I was just another dusty record on the shelve will you blow me off and play me like everybody else? If I ask you to scratch my back, could you manage that? Like it read well, check it Travie, I can handle that.'
As the water nymph continued to rap Dominic wondered what people would think if they saw this. It had to be the weirdest thing he had done so far.

Skipper dug her toes into the sand and softly hummed "Dreams Don't Turn to Dust" by the mortal singer Owl City. The sand ran between her toes and into onto the ground. The small waves crashed in the distance. Then she heard a particular voice that she knew. At first, it didn't really come to her, but then the person came to her. Dominic Moss! She stopped humming and got up, her gaze falling away from the ocean. Being the daughter of Aeolus, sounds traveled on the wind really nicely for her. She quickly identified the song Stereo Hearts. Luckily, she could swim there and sneak up on him, because she had her bathing suit on. Another luck streak, she was wearing waterproof shorts instead of her jean shorts. She took her over-shirt off. So basically, she was in a bikini top and waterproof shorts. She prayed to Poseidon not to kill her, and dove into the water.

Skipper could still hear the faint song in the water. She swam to the noise, occasionally popping her head up to take in some air. She was getting closer now. She popped her eyes up to see where she was. Bulls-eye. Dominic and the naiad. She dove under and quickly put her hair up in pigtails. Then, popped her eyes back up, just her eyes, so not to be noticed, and listened.

'Furthermore, I apologize for any skipping tracks, its just the last girl that played me left a couple cracks. I used to used to used to used to, now I'm over that. Cause holding grudges over love is ancient artifacts. While Marina rapped a smile broke out over Dominics face. It was a funny sight seeing the young girl, dressed in a white vest top, jeans and a baseball cap, treading the water whilst bumping to the rhythmn of the song.
'If I could only find a note to make you understand, I'd sing it softly in your ear and grab you by the hand. Just Keep it stuck inside your head, like your favorite tune and know my heart is a stereo that only plays for you' She made eye contact with Dominic for a moment and flashed a grin of pearl white teeth.
'My heart's a stereo it beats for you, so listen close hear my thoughts in every note. ' Dominic sang and grinned at the girl while his fingers flicked at the strings of his guitar. Even though he was armed with only a guitar to him it felt like an entire band was joining in with the song.

Skipper narrowed her light eyes. This was greaaaaaaaaaat. Just the thing you want to spill out to...oh, hmm...maybe everyone at camp that Dominic Moss, the new kid, was rapping with a naiad. MUHAHAHAHA! If Dominic didn't notice that she was there she could spread this to camp by dinner...
wait, too late...he noticed her stalker-ness.

((OH MY FLIP! SKIPPER ISH A STALKERRRRR!))

The guitar let out a clumsy note as Dominic noticed the demigod bobbing in the water nearby. The words to the song caught in his throat and he let out a cough as he choked.
Marina turned to see what he was staring at before her eyes narrowed and she jumped into the water.
The water around Skipper churned sending her tumbling through the waves eventually washing her up on the shore before Dominic.
He stood over her with his arms folded staring at her with a frown.
'You know. Some people might think spying on people is a bit rude.' He said.

Skipper cocked her head to the side so that her red pigtails bobbed on her head "I was taking a swim, for your information." she said, a shock of color shooting into her eyes "Spying is for someone who wants to make one intimidated...and I'm not the least bit intimidating." she added

'I watched you squash an ant the size of a german shepard into paste with your bare hands. You're very intimidating.' Dominic spoke before shaking his head of the thought, 'Thats not the point. What were you doing swimming around half naked and spying on me?'

"One; I told you that I wasn't spying." she retorted first. Then added: "Two; I am not half-naked...ever hear of this thing called a bathing suit? It's what you wear when you swim so that your clothes don't get wet, genius."

'I know what it is, but its also incredibly skimpy. Andromeda Parks, I thought you were a classy girl.' Dominic said with a disapproving shake of the head before grinning widely at the girl.

She slapped him, and the breeze increased by a lot. The wind started swirling around her "Say that one more time, and you get stuck in the hurricane of Parks, Sunny." she said

'Ow!' Dominic yelped and clutched his face, 'What? Did I embarass you?' He asked with a mischevious chuckle, 'I didn't know I could get to you like that my dear Skipper.' He laughed and opened his mouth to say something, but then a gigantic wave crashed over him and Skipper.
He spluttered as the cold water trickled down his shirt. He looked out to see Marina balanced on the waves tapping her wrist impatiently.
'Great. Now the Naids getting antsy.'

Skipper rolled her eyes, and the wind got harder "They do get impatient." she admitted. Marina made an offended look at Skipper.

Marina folded her armss grumpily. The water before them churned before a crab shot out of the water and landed on Skippers head.
'Marina I'll be there in a minute.' Dominic said before picking the crab off Skippers head.

Skipper raised an eyebrow "Having fun, Fish Face?" she asked Marina "As ever." she answered smugly. "The thing is..." Skipper started "Wind beats water." Marina made this face like "oh, she did NOT!"

'Oh boy...' Dominic sighed and ran a hand through his soaked hair as the water began to bubble and boil around Marina.
All he had wanted to do was jam a little, but now it looked like he was about to be caught in the middle of a cat fight.
Marina kicked the waves and a big pile of green slimy seaweed smacked Skipper in the face.

Wind blew the seaweed off of Skipper. A small tornado formed around Skipper and then hit Marina, knocking her into the ocean at full force.

'Er Ladies can we calm down?' Dominic asked nervously before yelling out as Marina burst from the waters surface and sent a huge wave crashing over Skipper.

Skipper punched Dominic in the face, really hard "No thanks." she declined

Dominic stumbled back a look of surprise on his face. He touched his lip that had swollen up and began to bleed.
'What the heck was that for!?' Dominic shouted at Skipper.

Skipper shrugged "I see people punch other people and it looks fun." she replied

'Yeah? Well I hope you had fun.' Dominic spoke and glared at Skipper before walking away.
Marina had now stopped throwing water at Skipper and now sat on the surfaces of the waves where she bobbed up and down on them awkwardly.
'Er...why did you hit him?' Marina asked.

"Because I felt like it, Naiad." she said, hovering about two feet off the ground.

'For your information my name is Marina. I don't call you human, so don't call me Naiad.' Marina spat before crossing her arms over her chest, 'So you just punched your friend, because you felt like it? Thats insane.'

"Really? Oh, well...then I guess I'm insane...but maybe being all the same isn't being unique...so, I guess I'm unique." and with that creepy note, Skipper glided away, the air swirling around her pigtails. A small gray surfboard of wind was underneath her feet.

'You know, you're going to loose friends if you treat them like trash!' Marina called after her, 'I would apologise to Dominic! Otherwise you'll loose a friend!' She said before diving into the water and swimming away.
