Bringing down the house (Fred)

Musical instruments were in no short supply at the Apollo cabin. The home of the sun gods kids had plenty of lyres, guitars, drums and other instruments along with a vast supply of bows and arrows and other equipment associated with his domains.
It was good that they were in large supply, because right now Dominic and Fred were destroying them.
'Fred stop hitting the drums that hard. They can't take your full strength.' Dominic called out as he watched his best friend punch a hole in yet another set of drums.

" Sorry." Fred apologized trying to get the opening to sabotage down. she was a little out of practice.

'Its all right. Grab a new drum and we'll go from the top.' Dominic said with a grin before raising his hand. A thought suddenly struck him, 'Fred whats our band name?'

" You want me to name the band? Are you crazy?" Fred asked
" Im likely to pick gerbils of death or something."

'Lets try that.' Dominic said before thrusting his hand into the air above, 'WE ARE GERBILS OF DEATH! ONE! TWO! THREE! GO!' Dominic yelled before his hand came down on the strings and music roared from the guitar.


'How was that?' Dominic asked before blinking dumbly at Fred.

" That was bloody awe-full we need a better name...

'The youth part I like. Impudent, not so much.' Dominic said before setting down his guitar, 'Come on Fred. We can't be a band unless we have an awesome band name. Something that shows our craziness but also shows we care about the planet and junk like that.'

'Why don't we pick a name that relates to our folks?' Dominic suggested, 'Like...I don't know, Exploding Suns? Destructive Sun Burn? Bright Riot?'

" The idiots who have no real talent other than messing up. doesn't sound like a good name mate." Fred joked.
" The Red dwarfs?" she suggested honestly? " Dwarfs are cool and its a type of sun plus a cool TV show."

'But we're not short? Shouldn't we be small if we're called the Red Dwarves?' Dominic asked before letting out a groan of frustration. 'Awesome band names are hard.'

" The Beatles weren't bugs were they? Knights of sucking? honestly i have no idea." Fred said drumming a punch line.

'How about Pop Rock Monkeys?' Dominic asked before staring into space, 'I have no idea what made me think of that.'

" Oh Oh what about the Substitute gods? That was running threw my head for a bit." She said tapping her fore head with a drumstick.

'Substitute Gods.' Dominic said and a smile broke out over his face. 'Fred. You're a genius.' Dominic said before raising his hand to the air. 'WE ARE THE SUBSTITUTE GODS! ONE TWO THREE FOUR!'

" Are yeh going tae rip off Scot Pilgrim all the time? Any way we haven't even figured out the type of music we're going to play." Fred wondered.

'Who says we need to?' Dominic asked with a shrug, 'Lets be an experimental band that flip flops between what music we want to do. That way we can tick all the boxes.'

" As long as we don't do none of that soppy stuff im happy. We do need a singer don't we im tone deaf and you sound like a strangled cat."

'Hey I have the voice of an angel.' Dominic muttered, but she was right. The only songs he could sing were things that required little effort and usually had very few words.
'How about Skipper?' Dominic suggested, 'She'll probably snap the chance up.'

" Mate you have the voice of a tone deaf angel who cant sing. But yeah Skipper mite be interested or yer lassie freind." Fred admitted strokeing her chin,

'Destiny wouldn't want that. Maybe she would be interested in playing a piano.' Dominic said before freezing as he remembered something important.
'Er Fred. Can I ask for some advice?'

" Yep just dont expect wisdome mate, whats the problem?" Fred relaxed leaning over the drumbset.

“Hey guys,” Lily stepped into the cabin. It was littered woth broken drums. “Looks as if a monster attacksd this cabin. Wes is surely not going to like this” she commentrd

Dominic opened his mouth to speak, but as Lily walked in he immediately shut up and looked to the ground.

“What's the matter!” Lily asked. “Is it personal? I'll leave, if it'll help you,” she said gently.
