Just Wes in the Armory, Doing Something Other Than Bugging Jake

Wes sighed as she walked into the armory. Time to face reality; she needed to make a new bow. She felt weird construction an old-fashioned bow in here with all the metal weapons and contraptions (and not being a Hephaestus kid added to the awkwardness,) but that was where they kept the good bow wood to age, so here she was.
She went to the far end and opened closet to find these fine pieces of lumber. Moving the newer pieces out of the way, she examined the staves that had been there drying for over a year and smiled victoriously when she found some osage orange. She brought it to a work bench, clamped it down, and began shaving off the bark with a draw knife.
