Lost in thought

Jake sipped his coke, thinking. First, how to convince Chiron... then how to find it.... there were so many things to do. His sketch book sat open, he had started doodling animals instead of the projects he had been working on. A small notebbook was nearby for quick use, but the page was blank with his great ideas...or lack of them.
He remembered what his dad, his adopted dad, used to say: [i]You have the same twenty four hours that everyone else in history had, what will you do with it?[i]
"I don't know...." JAke said aloud with a yawn. Camp was boring, but there was a nagging feeling behind the usual. Something that wouldn't let him rest easy. Something was happening outside the camp. Something Big.
He shook his head in annoyance. It didn't matter what he felt right now. As long as he was stuck in camp sitting in a canoe (which was still a shore) there wasn't much that could be done.

"Hey" Josh said walking on to the shore.
