Inspecting the Damage

Alex looked around at the now-ruined cabins. All of them were destroyed. As she stared at the Apollo cabin, it hit her. Her guitar. A gift from her father, it was the only thing she actually liked. She didnt boher looking. It was probably burnt anyway. Alex sighed and stuffed her hands in her pockets. "Great. Just great," she muttered.

I started to walk up to what was left of the Apollo cabin. The foundation was still there with some parts of the wall still there. I looked to see if there any of my belongings had survived. The maps were in smoldering ruins, my first sword was still alright, but its scabbard was black with soot. Most importantly, the compass was completly unscathed. I gazed into it, it was pointing southwest. I whispered to my self, "I'll make everthing alright, everything will be okay. I promised."

"Do you see a guitar anywhere?" I cautiously ask the kid who just came. "Im Alex." Might as well try, she thought.

"Huh?" I quickly hid the compass as I heard her behind me. "A guitar?" I looked around quickly, and I see something black that resembled a guitar. "Is this it? It's a little burnt, but I think it might be able to still work... Alex, is it?"

"Yeah. Thanks." Alex takes the guitar and sweeps some soot off it. "Eh. Its fine." She muttered. She played a chord and the sound was perfect. She smiled wide. Alex started playing and singing Time of Your Life by Green Day. She blushes when she finishes. "Sorry. I sing when I get excited."

cameon started inspecting the zeus cabin he knew he didnt have any belongings in there but he wanted to make sure the trophies were still there. it was all gone he left disappointed knowing the other zeus kids worked hard for them

"Eh, it's no problem." I started walking away, into the forest. If only she were here... I thought to myself.

Jake walked up, his books under his arm. (the good one) The ambrosia was starting to wear off and he was starting to limp again. Jake examined the remains of the nearest cabin. It looked worse than it was, mostly ashes and charred wood- but he knew that in the time it was burning, the inside articles would be in more danger of the falling timber than the fire. There would be a lot of work to do.
He looked up at the fading sky. It would get dark soon.

"We'll need some light and some areas to sleep." Jake decided aloud. "Probably some guards would be good too."

"Ill sleep anywhere."

Jake looked up at the new girl, at first a bit confused. Then he realized that he had spoken aloud.
"Right. We'll need to get a specific area set out and clear it so people actually have room to sleep." Jake clarified. He looked around, the attack left quite a mess and his launcher action didn't exactly make things neater.

"we could use the commons"

"Like I said, the area will have to be cleared." Jake said again, starting to think about the other things to be done. He whistled for Ty and the hellhound immediatly bounced closer.
"Hey. You did good." Jake said, ruffling the hellhound's fur. "Can you watch the camp a bit longer?" Ty barked and licked Jake from toe to head. Jake made a face at the delayed greeting.

Alex stifled a laugh.

"what you laughing at"

Erik strolled onto what use to be his cabin. It was almost completely burned, but the trunk he kept his things in seemed fine. He opened at gabbed his sleeping bag and a few other things. He watched as some storm clouds moved in. Tonight was going to be no fun.

"Gee, Ty..." Jake managed through gritted teeth, "Thanks for the bath."
He noticed the girl from earlier laughing at him, he probably turned a bit red. Then he remembered that he still didn't know her name.
"Umm...I'm Jake by the way..." Jake said, bad at introductions. "You're new here, aren't you?"

"hey id like to know jake when are you making me your apprentice

"DUDE. I never said yes." Jake snapped, irritated that he was inturpted yet again for this. "Since I said 'no,' you can safely assume that it will be never." He said bluntly. He really wasn't in the mood for any talk about forging, mainly because at the moment he couldn't do it himself.

Alex nods and stuffs her hands in her pockets. "Yeah. Nice to meet you, Jake. Im Alex."

"jake you are suprised how well i can get things that i want really bad"

"Nice to meet you, Alex." Jake said, ignoring Cam. He glanced around at the burnt cabins. "Geeze. You leave on a quest for a couple days and the camp gets destroyed." He said with a sigh.

"im not gonna give up on becoming your apprentice you know

"DUDE! He said NO!" Alex was annoyed. Cam was getting on her nerves.

"well im sorry but im not gonna give up i want this really bad

Erik was laying on his back in the ashes of his cabin. He always loved the smell of ashes, as strange as it may be. He got up and walked over to Cam, and tripped him. The idea that camp was destroyed had finally set in, and he was not in the mood for anything.
