One Last Practace...

Wes pursed her lips. "You should probably know that I can just say something and have your project carried off to a metal shredder," She rubbed her fingernails for effect, "Would you like to be taken with it?"

"Well, that would seem to do the opposite effect of what you're trying to do." Jake muttered, probably not helping the full-on lecture that he would be getting. He was probably one of the very few guys who absolutely hated girls fussing over him... well he didn't like guys fussing over him either, but that didn't normally happen. Besides, with the ambrosia he healed up mostly fine.. probably lost like five years off of his life.. but he was fine.

"No, it wouldn't," Wes agreed, "But it seems to have an effect much similar to the one you're going for anyway." She inhaled deeply, then continued, "Do you enjoy life, Jake? You would live a lot longer if you did what medics and doctors tell you to do."

Maybe, but I wouldn't get half so much done....
Jake wisely kept quiet. Normally, in times like these, don't talk- just take it. Talking doesn't help at all: If you speak your mind and disagree, you get yelled at more, and if you agree you'll get yelled at for not being sincire.

Kris couldn't help but chuckle to herself about Jake being lectured. But she kinda felt bad for letting the whole project thing slip through her lips.

Benedictus was staring at the exchange, it was quite boring seeing as he was expecting some blood or aggression. Staring forward he felt himself being taken by the god of dreams. Sitting up with a startle he realized that he had been asleep for a couple minutes and everyone was still staring at each other. Looking to his right at Kris he poked her," I'm bbbbbbbbooooooooooorrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeddddddddd."

Feeling herself being poked, she looked to Ben. "Well what am I supposed to do about that? I can't exactly snap my fingers to cure the boredom."

Looking plainly at Kris his eye's started glazing over, the intensity of his bordom started to manifest in his eye's and they seemed to cloud over almost literally. Looking down at his leg he punched it, feeling the muscle cramp up and then quickly heal and he did it again and again. The measure of his bordom has no limits, including self harm.

Kris looked over at Ben and at first dismissed what he was doing. After a couple seconds, she grabbed his arm, holding it away from his leg. "What are you doing???"

Raising a single eyebrow at his friend he simply shrugged," I have to entertain myself somehow with those love birds staring each other down over there." Then with a bright idea nearly visible above his head as a lightbulb he asked," You know any fun games?" The hope that is now in his bright eye's was almost palpable.

"Fun games huh." Kris had to think for a moment. Totally forgetting she was still holding Ben's arm, she brought her hand, and his arm, to her lap in thought. "What about I Spy?" Kris blurted out not realizing how childish of a game it was.

Ben would normally be glad to play a game like that, but at the moment he was unexpectedly pulled onto Kris's lap by his arm. Not normally one to stay in such a position but he was tired, really really tired. Using his arm as a buffer imbetween the beautiful girl's lap and nice legs so she wouldn't destroy him; he slowly drifted off with a single eye looking slightly upward at her," I spy..a....beautful.............girl," and with that he was dead asleep. Completely unaware of what might happen to him if Kris should take offence to his words.

Hearing his words, a light blush crossed Kris' face. She moved to push him off her lap but couldn't bring herself to disturb his sleep. Instead, she just put her hand on his head, lightly stroking his hair. To think that this was the same kid who I had almost maimed not to long ago. Kris sighed. "Sleep tight Son of Clotho," she whispered.

Wes shrugged at Jake, "So what, you want no more medical attension then? Should I let you deal with the pain alone?" She figured at that point that if he had to screw the wounds up more to realize why he should follow orders, then she should let him.

Cameron, being bored walked in the arena wielding the bolts and saw every body and then said"anybody up for a little sparring."

"Not now Cam. Those two are having a very serious talk, and I have a sleeping boy on my lap. Besides shouldn't you be back at the celebration?" Kris looked at the boy who seemed to com out of nowhere. Her hands still subconsciously stroking Ben's hair as he slept.

"What celebration" Cameron said un-knowing of the celebration.

"The end of summer celebration.... Are you that incompetent that you forgot about it?" Kris rolled her eyes and looked down at the sleeping form on her before looking back to cam

Jake frowned, ignoring the others. He didn't really know what to say.
"I don't know." He grumbled. "But I'm still needed, wounded or not. Life won't just take a time out for me to get better- there's stuff that needs to be done. Besides, I wasn't even doing things that were that gruling... well until now."

Wes nodded a bit, "So what were you doing in your forge that wasn't 'gruling' yet still resulted in a half-finished project?"

"It's not half-finished. I wish it was, but it's not. Not even close." Jake said, trying to count in his head how much of the project actually was done.

Wes hit her forehead with her palm and let her hand slide down her face. She took in a deep breath while holding up her other hand and slowly closing it into a tight fist, showing how much she wanted to strangle him now.

Jake ignored Wes, he was thinking...
"Hey Ben-!" Jake paused, seeing he wasn't reacting. "Ben." Still no reaction. Jake frowned. How'd he fall asleep so fast?!?! Jake pulled out his pocketwatch and threw it at him. There was no time for being polite- he had an idea!

Kris caugh the pocket watch out the corner of her eye. She quickly grabbed it before it hit her sleeping friend. "Don't do that. He is sleeping. Don't wake him." She threw the watch back at Jake, glaring at him.

Jake caught it, frowning. "I don't care if he's sleeping! He needs to wake up so I can hurry up and ask him something!" Jake neglected saying exactly what- but he always did that with important things. No point in saying things twice if you didn't have too, they can live with a little suspence.
Jake got up, a bit painfully, and shook Ben hard. "DUDE! Get up!"
