Sitting by the Cabins

Whitney was sitting in the shade, right next to the tree of Demeter cabin, as usual, doing something in his notebook.

Lily came out for an evening walk. She noticed Whitney and sat down by him
“Hey Whitney”she said.

"um... Hi" Whitney flipped through his notebook, "Lily. Yeesh I have nothing down on your- never mind."

“Okay”Lily said. She gazed up at the sky. “isnt the sky beautiful today?” she asked

"yeah." He says, then write down on a page underneath the name Lily, unattentive, and easily distracted.

Lily glanced at Whitney's notebook. As she read, her face formed into a frown.
I don't think this kid's gonna be easy to become friends with she thought, as she made a mental note to not trust this kid. She hated kids that were like this. Most of them thought that they were the smartest kids around. She frowned. as she gathered Aqua and a book she was reading, she heard the conch horn, indicating dinner. Clutching her book, she headed for the mess hall.
I've got to warn Fred about this peculiar new kid she thought as she walked
