Embarking on the Quest

"a *real* wheel, not a runt wannabe wheel."

"a spare is usually the same as the other wheels isnt it?"

"from what i remember, its skinnier, i remember hearing a bunch of adults saying you shouldn't go a long way with it, that you should get another wheel or something along those lines..."

"What? Who did you hear talking about that? And are you sure they were talking about cars?"

"a*lot* of people, and yes, the spare is like the temporary wheel, and they said youre supposed to switch it out whenever you can..." (i know im not going crazy here, ive looked it up and didnt get a clear ansewer, only that it *is* a temporary wheel...)

"Well it *is* a temporary wheel but...I think thats only so the person can put it on properly isnt it?"

"...no...aren't spares usually skinny? i know for small cars (t-bird) they are, and im pretty sure ive seen a skinny one on a truck too..."

"Everytime I've seen a spare it looks exactly the same as the other tires to me..."

"ok, whatever, let's just keep going with the spare then. Anyone know where we are?"

"Somewhere in Missori."

"Ugh... we are still so far from the west coast. How long have we been driving for?" Kris asked, bored of driving in a car.

"this is day...2 i believe?..."

"UGH!!!! I don't think i can handle being in a car for more than 3. So until then enjoy the little bit of sanity i have left....."

"yeah, I think we're all gonna lose our minds..." Wes replied, "'Course *someone* cant exactly fly..."

"Yeah yeah yeah i know." Kris sat back and closed her eyes

"So, if we dont have to change the spare, are we going to continue on or what?..." (i forget if we're already moving or not, i think we're not though, so...)

(let's say we are cause we went through a drivethrough.)

We should get going.

(actually, the post just said "They get to the restaraunt. They finish eatting." so we dont really know if we went drive thru...)

(But that was the plan, if you look back Jake said we would go through the driveway)

(ah. see, i said i forgot after the whole spare thing, so...)

"We are fine. So, we're still going west?" Jake said, putting the truck into drive.

"I would assume so, since thats where we were heading..."

Kris sat in the passenger seat with her head resting on the seatbelt. "Can we just get going, i would like to make it to the west coast within the century."

"Yeesh, calm down, we're half way there." Jake headed onto the highway.

"Thats good to know." Wes started hitting her leg repeatedly for no apparent reason.
