Trying New Things...

"Nope! I don't think Alexis will be happy and I don't think I can hold it long enough."Cynthia said and smiled innocently.

'Alexis? Whats happening with Alexis?' Dominic asked, suddenly intrigued by whatever secret Cynthia was keeping about his friend.
'Wait, no!' Dominic growled and shook his head free of the thought, 'It can wait! I have my archnemesis at my mercy. She'll surrender first, then you can spill the news.' Dominic spoke before turning to Skipper, 'You're my archnemesis now, is that ok?'

"Sure." she said to Dominic. She kicked him off of her...hard and went to Cynthia "So, what's the conflict with Gray Eyes, Sunshine?" she asked

Dominic tumbled across the ground and landed in a heap a metre away. He let out a groan and rubbed dust from his eyes before patting down his shirt. The kick had knocked the wind out of him and he could feel a nasty bruise coming up.
'Ok...I deserved that.' Dominic grunted before getting to his feet and walking back to where his guitar lay. Just a little bit away from Skipper and Cynthia.

Cynthia whispered in Skippers ear about what she saw.Then giggled and ran off.

'Spill' Dominic said after running to Skipper's side. There was a mischevious spark in his eye and he was grinning like a cheshire cat.
'Please?' He asked innocently, 'Alexis is my friend and I'm concerneed for her well being.'

"This is nothing you need to be concerned about." she said, before running off like wind after Cynthia.

Cynthia waited for Skipper."Juicy stuff huh?"Cynthia asked with a smile.

'Wait what do you mean?' Dominic called after Skipper as she ran away. He felt confused and a little hurt that he had been left out. Why wasn't he allowed to know?
'Guess I've got to talk to Alexis...' Dominic said with a sigh before picking up his guitar and walking away.

Skipper nodded "This is great...but don't you dare tell Dominic..." she said, glancing over her shoulder at him as he ran clumsily towards them.

Alexis had to pass from where she was all the way over to get her stuff. She grabbed a drink of water.

Alexis was coming over. Skipper knocked the wind the other way so Dominic fell over and slapped her hand to Cynthia's mouth.

Alexis took a drink and pushed a strand of hair back then walked over to them."Ummm this is awkward what's going on?"Alexis asked.

"Oh, nothing...just having a little fun hurting Dom." said Skipper. As Dominic got up she knocked him back again.

'All right I'm going! Geez I don't even want to know!' Dominc hissed as he was knocked down again by the wind. He managed to get himself back to his feet before storming away from them and out of the arena whilst fighting the bitter feeling that grew in his stomach.

Alexis sighed"I'll be right back."Alexis said following after."Hey what's wrong?"Alexis asked.

'Nothing.' Dominic grunted as he walked away keeping his eyes trained on the ground, 'Apparently everyone knows something about you that I'm not allowed to know.'
'No big deal. Doesn't bother me at all.' He was lying and he knew it was obvious, especially to Alexis who would have no trouble in seeing through it, but he was too stuborn to say what he was thinking.

Alexis was confused."Know what?"Alexis asked,her confusion melted in with her voice."Hey you do care. Your just stubborn. I'll tell you something that's probably a rumor that they have okay. Come here."Alexis said and hugged him.

Dominic accepted the hug and felt the bitter feeling fade a little, but something was still bugging him, 'Is anything up? I mean...you're not in trouble or anything are you? You're not hurt right? Nobodies been picking on you have they? Cause I swear if those Ares campers have been picking on you I may have to hurt them.'

Alexis shook her head,"Well they are but it doesn't bother me it's normal. But Dom its about Andrew and I. So it's not bad."

'Thats it I'm playing Dragon Force outside their cabin at full volume every night for a mon-' Dominic began before pausing as he realised what she had said, 'You and Andrew? Whose Andrew?'

Skipper hid in the bushes. She could just let her tell him. Neither of them noticed.

"Andrews a friend I had when I was in fifth grade and I lived with my uncle Keven."Alexis said."That's it."

'You had a childhood friend' Dominic said, sounding unconvinced, 'Thats what everyones talking about? That makes no sense.'
He scratched his head before crossing his arms over his chest, 'I mean, thats it? No tragic story? No meeting after several years? No big shady plot? I mean how did they even find out about him, its not as if he's demigod living at camp.' He said before pausing, 'Is he?'

"He's the son of Hermes. So yes he is a demigod."Alexis said."But um."Alexis started
