Trying New Things...

'No.' Dominic said with a shake of his head, 'But when I tore my shirt you did look like you were torn between bolting out of the arena or fainting so maybe I'm a poor judge of character.'

Skipper laughed "Oh, really?...yes, maybe you are." she said

'Then for your sake I'll spare you the burden of having to look at my chest.' He chuckled before zipping up his hooded leather jacket, 'Hows the wound? Bleeding stopped? I hope I tied it tight enough.'

"Well...I dunno...d'you think I've got x-ray vision or something?" she asked

'All right all right, no need to be snippy.' Dominic replied before sitting down next to her and looking a bit closer at the makeshift bandage. The material had become red from the blood, 'Right...thats still bleeding. I'm going to try something'

"Oh great." she muttered

'Come on trust me. I'm a son of a healing god.' He said before offering her his hand.

Skipper sighed and took the extended hand.

'Ok Pops, lets do this.' He said before clutching her hand and staring at the wound. The truth was, he had no idea if this would work. He had never tried using any godly powers, but after seeing what people like Skipper, Kris, Fred and other powerful demigods were capable of, he just had to give it a shot.

Skipper prayed this would work. If it didn't...oh well. She might die...she might not.

Beads of sweat began to form on his forehead. He had only ever tried this once and it had been with his fingers after they had been broken. It had been a fluke that had taken everything out of him, but it had let him know what he was capable of.
A pain began to rise inside of him. An indescribable tug that felt both intriguing and horrifying at the same time. As he stared down the wound he watched as it closed before his eyes.
'Awesome.' He spoke before swaying on the spot and falling to the ground, 'I'm a miracle man.' He said in a sleepy voice.

Skipper folded her arms "Yeah?" she agreed. She basically just left him there to get tired and flew away. Like, actually flew away.

'You're welcome.' Dominic called after her, not bother to hide the bitterness in his voice. He spluttered a little as dirt got into his mouth.

"Thanks!" she called back over her shoulder.

'Are you in awe of me? I'd be in awe of me. I'm a very 'in awe' person' He called before moving his head just slightly to look up at her.

Skipper almost laughed "Your powers ain't anything I ain't seen before." she said "But, since you healed me...sure, you could say that I am."

'Great, you can join my fan base. Ask the water nymphs for more details on how to join.' He said before he managed to lift one leg up and hoist himself off the ground.

Skipper raised an eyebrow "I suggest you try to be a bit more modest around me, as I have the whole wind on my side...but just a suggestion." she said

'I'm just joking. I make jokes after I get over my trust issues.' Dominic spoke as he straightened up, swaying a little as his knees threatened to give way.

"Interesting." she said "A corny sense of humour and weak...just the kind of kid that'll survive." she was being extremely sarcastic.

'Hey we can't all be elemental warriors like you.' Dominic said with a frown, 'Besides, so far staying positive and coming back alive after having the stuffing kicked out of me seems to be my best qualities.'

"Ah...we have a negociater." said Skipper "Maybe you will live."

Dominic shook his head, 'No, not a negotiator. Just lucky and sturdy.' He said before pointing to his hand, 'When I was in New York me and Fred encountered a bunch of giants who wanted to eat us. They got the drop on me and got a few punches in, broke my fingers and nearly my nec, but then-'
Dominic froze as he suddenly realised his mistake. He had just revealed to Skipper that he had broken the rules of camp and left for New York without telling anyone where he was going.

Skipper raised an eyebrow "So, you left camp, eh?" she said. She waited for Dominic to get so nervous he looked like he was about to pass out. She loved getting people all tensed up "Oh, it's fine...I leave camp, like, once a week at night...but don't you dare tell anyone I told you that." she said finally

For a moment Dominic had been nervous. He didn't know much about punishments around camp, apart from them being renown for being brutal. When she didn't answer her began to worry about what he had done. What if she told Chiron? What if Chiron told Harold? What about Fred? Would she get in trouble too?
His thoughts were interupted as Skipper revealed her secret. Dominic stared at her blankly for a moment before he swallowed hard, 'You leave camp...once a week?'
